Look at how our RBs did, bhall, against the same team.

I'm not gonna analyze pbp of each of your games but pitching from trips right into a zone blitz probably not recommended.

Not sure where you're going with this.

leave the changes to the defensive players, but return run blocking to what it was

Also, I find it borderline hilarious that you've convinced yourself that defense just gets a boost to all of their skills.

I went and watched replays of games before and after the switch.

-Defenders are now able to outrun offensive players until the offensive player is ~15% or so faster.
-Defensive lines are destroying the morale of offensive lines at lower levels. At seasoned and journeyman, most teams have enough points into toughness in the o-line to offset.
-Defenders are making lightning fast awareness checks on runs.
-CB's regularly beat run blocking specialists, especially on the outside.
-Defenders can make tackles almost every time while being blocked. ---This would seem to be more realistic except that it kills inside running since the tackle halo doesn't change while being blocked which is very unrealistic. A defender trying to dive to make a tackle while engaged with an o-lineman in the real world is a defender who just had a 300+ beast land on top of him as he flailed helpless in the direction of the ball carrier.

Amusingly enough the team owner who we are playing against just said: "QB Rollout Strong is the only outside running play that works at all now." Corndog should tell him to shut up.

I am shocked that Corndog doesn't understand what Cirop is saying. But that happens you take sentences out of context. Let me try and explain it.

Even though your blocking changes have hurt running teams as a whole. People are still using GL QB Rollout Strong for big plays and having success with them.

Pity I can't change play calling during a game to adjust for something brand new from an opponent....

Oh, I see you guys got the band back together.

You really should get your argument straight before attacking a thread, you guys are all over the place today.

Ironically, Corndog listens to people who made this thread... before all the data was actually in. But that is status quo here. Bad decisions based on bad information.

I am really thinking about stealing Corndog's picture and doing some photoshopping with this one.

Except remove government and say "Corndog" instead. What do you think?

Can we change the title of the thread to:

"Rushing is nerfed ... What heavy handed changes that miss the problem are next?"

Um, that would be awesome and I would make it the Yorick team logo.

Well when your an all rush team running directly into planned blitz's things generally don't end well. That's why an all rushing team is not a good idea in the first place.

Our argument has been pretty consistent actually.

#1. It's bad to make a change like this mid season.
#2. It's bad to make a change like this on game day.
#3. It's bad to make a change like this that isn't tested with community feedback.
#4. It's bad to make a change like this that doesn't address the problem.
#5. You could've banned GL QB Rollout Strong, GL HB Sweep and GL HB Slam and Yorick would not be as dismayed with that fix as we are with the one you made.
#6. Applying multiple changes all at once without testing and integration is bad.
#7. Screwing over paying "beta" customers is bad for business.

I think that about covers our points. Care to actually counter?
