This is a game of opposites. Vandelay is a pass first team that can't stop the run. Portland is a run first team that can't stop the pass. If you're a fan of good defensive play, this is definitely not the game for you.
If, on the other hand, you're like me and a big fan of train wrecks, this should be a lot of fun. I don't know that early season rookie teams can put up 1000 yards combined, but if they can, this is the matchup to do it. In the end, though, my money is on the running team. Even though passing teams eventually get nasty impossible to stop, until they've had some time to build skills, their WR's drop a lot of passes. Running teams don't have that problem.

Hmmmm....what was that again about Vandelay's defense? We held Portland's great rushing attack to 74 yards on 32 and 0 TDs. They accumulated 269 total yards and 17 points. Plus the game went into overtime, so they had extra plays.
