Ya, but Portland is like 5 1/2 hours away, and while it's just straight on I84, that's a bit of a drive just for chicken, and it'd prolly be cold before I got it home.

Place is awesome. Downside is that I greatly prefer boneless wings over bones, but their boneless wings are like big chicken strips. Some amazing sauces, though.

So jelly. No haz any good wing places like that around here. Even if I drove down to Boise, no real wing places. Just Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters, and I make way better wings than either of them.

Looks like there's a Wingstop in Idaho, pretty good chain.

It's in Coeur d'Alene. I can get to Portland faster than I can get up there

Btw, how does changing the default facing help coverage? And how fast do players backpedal compared to their 40 times? And why do I have a bad feeling I'm going to need to start pumping Footwork on my poor CB's...

Facing direction helps with jumping routes, reacting to pass, etc.

Also makes a difference between inside and outside routes. With the defender facing the QB (inside of the field), he can break on inside routes and keep up easier. Outside routes, he is already in the passing lane, and facing the QB should improve reaction time.

And yes, Footwork will hopefully be a lot more valuable.

Best thing to do is run games and see how it shakes out. I have two test teams full of randomly generated players and my server takes an hour to sim a game, so tweaks will likely need to be made...but that's the general thought process.

Thanks. I'd already planned on seeing a few games before going ballistic and posting ZOMG U SUK THIS GAME R SO DUMM U HAZ NO CLEWS.

Still a bit concerned it's not going to be enough since the biggest problem is WR's catching 60-70% of passes even with defenders right on top of them, but I'll withhold judgement till I see how everything pans out.

Oh, I'm fairly sure it's going to be awful, so feel free to ballistic.

Well, I would definitely encourage you to think about making deflection and interception rolls easier. When you have 0 DB's with double digit interceptions, it makes things look a bit off.

While I'm not denying interception numbers are really low, it's kind of expected that they are going to be pretty low when everyone runs cover 0 and doesn't invest into intercepting.

I want to make an entire defense to try the turnover game with zones, but then I'd need someone to make and run the offense because I seriously don't have enough of an attention span to run an offense that I don't care about.

Might not be a really high number and could be the defense being used but it was invested in.

You kinda need to fix zone coverage first. Nobody is going to run zone as long as it has the following problems:

-No pre-snap adjustment for things having more WR's on one side of the field than there would be DB's.
-No adjustments to coverage to help when a 2nd WR enters a zone. Basically, before abandoning coverage DB's should always look ahead to see that the guy their shadowing will get picked up.
-Nobody picks up HB's who are close to the line of scrimmage
-Zone coverage is actually man coverage, just played on a tiny imaginary field.
-Nobody on defense picks up any receiver who avoids running into the zones.
-Underneath defenders go back to their zone even if every possible receiver is deeper than they are.

Man coverage isn't ideal, especially against running teams, but the alternative is just flat out disasterous atm.

And that's what everyone says. And my only experience with a zone team was on the test server, and it was arguably the best defense in the game.

As I said, I'd like to actually try it on the live server in a real environment. Briefly looking at your foray into it, it seems you send 5-6 blitzers every play, so of course there's going to be holes.

Not saying there isn't issues, but "nobody covers players not in their zone" is kind of a ldo.
