Some stuff can fire every tick potentially. A 20% chance to fire 10-15 times a play will cause it to fire 90%+ of the time at least once per play.

Not defending the tooltips though until Corndog fixes coverage commander on kick-offs

If that's the case that makes that SA a must have, no point in me getting a SA that could potentially fire twice a game when I can get one that will fire nearly every play.

Only if you look at it too simply.

For example, Mr. Reliable fires a lot, but it's only fair to middlin' effect. Monster Hit has a good effect, but a significant chunk of tackles don't qualify. Laces Out rarely meets the conditions to fire, but wow what an impact it has on the game when it does.

I do think there are some broken SA's based on how rarely they fire not matching up with having a high quality effect, but I don't think that just because an SA fires rarely that it sucks.

I don't disagree. Though I don't know that the bonuses from Mr Reliable in particular are as awesome as some others. It's hard to know if you would've fumbled/KL without it. Maybe you can tell if it's causing more broken tackles from the improved balance benefits.

Mr. Reliable is one of the better SA's in the game right now. If for no other reason than it fires often.

On my RB Too Much Power he picked up Mr. Reliable this offseason, last season he had 17 fumbles in 30 games with 60-65 Carrying Grip. This season he has 4 fumbles through 19 games with Mr. Reliable and 70 Carrying Grip.

Yup. I've got 100% SP spent into a single SA on a few of my players.

My Blitzing LBer just got 3 Stars into Tunnel Vision. Head Fake should be firing a ton on my elusive WRs. Coverage Commander on my Punter is there.

Others I went 2*+2*. Stuff like Double Tunnel Vision + Double Spin Cycle.

That's because it doesn't seem to have a cool down period after trying to activate. As long as you are within the required range while carrying the ball you have a chance to activate.

Compare that to SAs where it triggers at the start of the play (and remains active throughout) or SAs that activate only on an event (like a tackle attempt). In those circumstances you only get one shot at the SA activating for the entire play.

You were aware of this back in season one. If you still don't have it, it is because you also realize that the time that it remains active it may do nothing.

MR activates. Say for 0.5 seconds. No one hits the ball-carrier. MR wears off. Ball-carrier gets hit, MR has no effect.

Contrast that with SAs that have a trigger that corresponds with the usefullness of the SAs, like Monster Hit. Monster Hit only fires when you are actually going to get the ability.

I've got silver Mr. Reliable on both my HBs, and even though Mr Reliable fires on 90% of plays, they are usually being tackled when it is inactive unless they are running on the outside and spending a lot of time in the Mr. Reliable trigger zone.

Well, to be fair we haven't played as often this season and for some reason I used to FF a lot on you.

Might also be that people capped out on their power tackling... I know my guys have been capped since S1.

Can't argue with either opinions. I've not built a ballcarrier yet. Haven't studied them all that much.

We didn't play at all last season in the ladder.
