Hate to break to ya champ, but you got beat by "trash." Nothing happened to us, we just finally ran into another team where our basement-level morale score wasn't enough to stop us from getting a win.

Our roster's about the same as it's been all season. We haven't been trading like madmen or anything (I think we got one new guy since game 2-3 or so, to be honest), we've just been on such a losing streak (present company excepted) that as our morale went lower and lower, we weren't able to hang with teams we would've had a solid shot against, otherwise. The whole season, though, our baby backups have still been getting xp, our new players have still been leveling up, and we've been getting stronger and stronger.

Nothing "happened" except you getting beat.

Keep an eye out for us next season, everyone. Give us a chance to get our morale out of this hole, and you'll see what this "trash" can do.

I've known the Breakers were nothing to take lightly for a while now. Morale resets to 100 at the start of the season. Get your wins where you can, brother, and build up that fan support. Grats on the one this week too.

It's been a real interesting season for the most part in Zeta, aside from the teams at the very top and the very bottom of the standings, there really isn't a whole lot of separation talent-wise. After promotion and relegation, and everybody's off-season personnel moves, I think that will be even more true next season. Taking any team for granted will be a huge mistake, blowouts and such will be few and far between. It's gonna be fun, guys!

I would definitely agree with this statement. You have done a nice job with everything this season.

yeah thanks, sorry to say this but i hope your team loses in playoffs so you can stay here next season

lol, you don't have to apologize for saying that. I actually look at it as a compliment, and I have not received many from people this season. Thanks for reading things correctly and NOT saying - "I wish you would win, so we don't have to listen to you next season"

Next year, with the level cap off everything could change. Anyone can go out and sign a whole team full of lvl 25 guys if you want.

I'll be interested to see what it looks like next year. Well, if we don't finish in the top 2. It's at least a possibility now.

Is this for real? I wish I would have known that as I would have just let my team go to crap this year so I could sign a bunch of higher builds next season.

I see my words cut deep, but I mistyped them. I didn't mean your team was trash, as you have what looks like on paper, a pretty solid team. What I meant to say was that you guys were getting trashed. Then, you play a great game against Camelot, a team that was 10-2 at that point. Something definitely happened that game.

Maybe just better gameplanning? I don't know, but the ship was righted.

I used this season to grab some lower middle level players and develop them. Hoping loyalty and player building guidance this season pays off next season with these players ready to come into their own. Team chemistry is looking decent and we're set for a good offseason. Of course, signing a few high priced FAs will be on our list as well as I am sure everyone will be trying to do the same in the league.

Money saved this year by not going after the big levels now gives me options on stadium building in the offseason to help with revenue for next season and those FAs.

All in all, we couldn't compete with the likes of the Stallions this season anyways. I'm a new owner still trying to get the hang of this all. So I'm glad that I didn't break the bank trying. Still, it would have been nice to get a few more wins this season!

Great season everyone. And best of luck in the playoffs to all that make it in!

Yeah, the cap is coming off next year but it will be difficult to get higher levels to come play in an "A" league especially if your team is not one of the better teams. Add to that the need to pay for lvl 24 gear and it's going to be next to impossible for teams to sign a large number of higher level guys. Teams might be able to sign them but they will not be able to afford to pay them or buy them gear.

In my opinion, where you are going to see the largest impact is owners/gm's bringing their own high level guys onto their teams. That could really change the balance of the league.

Guess we will have to wait and see. Personally, I am not concerned. With boosting and such I'll have a 20'ish team anyway and that enough to hang with most everyone.

I'm sure you meant that as a compliment, but it's actually pretty insulting.

Sounds like you're going to have a chip on your shoulder when you play us next season. Now that you've called out our owner, that'll work both ways.

Should be fun!

Sorry you took offense to that. It was really meant more as a compliment. From the way I've seen the Breakers play, the gameplanning has become much better over the season. Natural I believe. Mine's gotten better I know. It comes with learning more about the opposition in addition to learning more about what my own team's strengths and weaknesses are.

And Luke, I think ZachG was talking to me with the 'hope you lose' sentiment. We all hope the Rippers lose for completely other reasons (just kidding ya)

Yeah, I suppose your right. I read it wrong. It would make a lot more sense to have you back, doing all the work for everyone to read. Keep up the good work, and hopefully we can make everyone happy by losing. Good possibility tonight against Rotterdam

OK.. Updated first post for week 14 results... The Zeta conference playoff teams are set now. The #5-#8 teams all have the same record and will be jockeying for playoff position over the last two games of the season.

7 teams in for Alpha. The Scabs are in the driver's seat for the last spot, but face some competition from Madrid. The Scabs won the regular season match-up and would be in the playoffs if the two teams had identical records.
