From my point of view:
Quick scrims are a great way to test out your own playbooks looking for stuff that does and does not work. They are untrustworthy, and hence useless, for trying to get a read on an opponent.
Oh, and apparently they'd be a great way to get inside an opponent's head except for the whole part where simulated players don't care if they're being coached by a guy wearing a tinfoil sailor's hat.
