Good game Xav, I'll admit, I spent a lot of time on that offensive game plan. That was real close.

Aye, good game.
Like I told Jampy, I freakin' hate trying to figure out defenses against teams that don't have a strong run or pass tendency, especially when you know already they're quick pass which limits what you can do pressure wise.
In hindsight, I really should have made the flip for this game that I'm planning for next season (ie. the blitz package that's better than ZEB-DAG), but I was just too gunshy to make a major change without testing.

I worked hard during the season to push our team's offense towards a more balanced attack, we were all pass all the time during the first half of the season.
Also, I know what you mean about wanting to try new things but worrying about risking a big change in such a big game. I went back and forth on a few plays that I wanted to use but I just didn't have enough confidence in them.
After the last few days I don't feel like game planning for anything for a little while, heh

Heh. I'm working on a brand new offense and defense for a shiny new rookie team for next season. I suspect a few people have thought about at least some of what I'm doing (cuz really, there are only so many possibles), but to the best of my knowledge, nobody's actually followed through and built an entire team, both offense and defense, around a single goal

There are teams designed around themes. Some plans change when the irons get into the fire though. Some ideas are good. Some ideas end up sucking.

like our zone defense rofl. We'd be undefeated right now if we used m2m from the start of the season.

Maybe. I still think we'd have gotten caught off guard by DAG/ZEB the way we did about the same point that Glasgow drilled us. Offensively anyhow.

still not sure how you guys thought a full zone defense was gonna work before vet or close to? I mean I don't think a full zone will work regardless because just for it to work in GLB1 it needed unbelievable bonus's...but a full zone at rookie? lol so dumb.

From what I'm seeing, unless underneath coverage get's a whole lot more flexible or intelligent, it's going to suck at veteran too. The only thing I can think of is maybe you build a defense designed around monster hit with it. Because your coverage IS so loose, you actually have a chance for your safeties, LBs, and CBs to build up to that "50%+" max speed more often when they make the hit. You'd then just run Cover 4 all the time, let them catch stuff underneath, and try and separate pass catchers from footballs.

can receivers even fumble? Or do they always just suffer knocked loose, even after running downfield with the ball?
