yes i am dead serious. My FB picks up blocks with damn near no problem anymore, at what point does the awr graph flatline? I wouldn't be suprised if its in the 60s range.

I kinda agree with Jampy here. Awareness is a great skill to an extent. Once your player "has enough awareness to find the right guy to block", you can move on to pumping other skills.

At this point yes. But I wouldn't bank on that thinking.

So then the same can be said for any type of lineman awareness?

If you are going to come to the thread and downvote all of my posts, atleast understand the message being said.

But what if I want my guy to not only have enough awareness to know which guy to block, but also to know what the guy had for breakfast by spotting the tiny crumbs of food caught in the defender's beard? How much awareness do I need then?

50 seems a pretty good margin, anything over really doesn't make a difference.

Hate to tell ya I didn't do that. I was done with you then you talked shit in that other thread. Did I down vote all those too?

Your message was the FB doesn't need more than 50. That's why I asked the other guy if he thought it was enough for linemen too.

awareness checks should sort of off set to a certain extent
i.e. if a hb makes a carry awareness check and takes a better route to the edge then a safety or lb should have to make a harder check in order to take a good pursuit angle, so you may need more of most awarenesses when the counter skills for them are higher across the board
you might need more man/zone awareness when most guys have 50+ route elusive/technique, you might need more blocking awareness when most guys have amazing pursuit/brkrunblk/pass rush skills
and you might just need a lot more pocket awareness to avoid losing to DAG spam

Trying to avoid all the random drama here. Hopefully I add something useful.

I always assumed that 'Lead Blocking' had a radius to the ball carrier involved where as 'Run Blocking Awr' is the default on running plays. I wouldn't ignore Run Blocking completely, but I wouldn't put much into it either.
