I answer this question by asking myself, which coordinators give me the most trouble? When I play coordinator A or B, I know I am going to have to play great to win.

For me, facing A.I. and jkid is the most difficult matchups as an OC. And LE is really the only OC that has ever effected my offensive planning. I took more risks against him because I knew he would be in the end zone often.

I voted LE as best OC not for last season accomplishments but for what he is able to do when he wants to. I recall very early on him saying he threw SBWL together with zero cares, and before seasons end he scrapped the team which leads me to believe he was being honest. If you noticed I did not include myself yet last season I had the number one ranked offense AND defense, so I didn't base my opinion on last season.

This is a good point. For DC, I would pick myself if we counted like the last year or two, and Gerr if we counted last season only. Certainly, neither myself nor LE did anything last season specifically to distinguish ourselves as last season's best DC or OC, but overall I still think we are.

Even the best OC's & DC's have their fair share of up and down seasons. Remember that they were making a lot of changes every few seasons to this game and OC's & DC's had to make adjustments and sometimes that took a couple seasons to get it right.

Judging someone on a great season or two of the same sim seems very limited IMO. Ya they might have dominated one or both sides of the ball for that season or two, but how would they have done through the various number of changes? And how should that OC or DC be compared to someone who has stuck around longer and had some really good seasons, but then a few average seasons due to the changes?

And how do you judge an OC or DC? Through their regular season stats, their playoff stats, number of championships, number of tourney wins, or seasons as a whole?

To define the best is to be very subjective and everyone has a different opinion.

I was mostly referring to the coordinators ability to win 1 game right now.

But all of these things are fun to read.

Obviously I still think I'm the best no matter the parameters.

This is the most active off-season thread I've seen in a long time.

There are a lot of competent OCs and DCs. It comes down to which ones put the most time and effort into it.

Offense in no specific order:
Skinny Stoner Kang
Taz
Stixx

Defense:
jkid
AI
Kelts

LE, Gerr, ltsply2, Mr Majors, _OSIRIS_ could be top 5 in either category.

Bryceps is a great DC but I actually know very little about his defense. I don't scout it or watch it but I'm glad I don't have to face it.

You could pretty put these names in a hat and draw to see who is the best season to season. Expect a big season from Skinny Stoner Kang and jkid.

I'm generally just as worried about your offense as your defense, probably more so. You're great at exposing entry level exploits. If nothing else you're quite annoying to stop especially early.

Im not positive who does all the coordinating for all the teams so I'll list em by teams.

OCing here lately would go to (in no special order)

Falcons, Bears, Revolver, FGC,, Cocks Homie, & Redbirds

DCing here lately....Goes hand in hand with OCing....cant have one without the other......
