Is whatever is causing this also the reason we can't offer multi year contracts -- and why we can't renegotiate until seasons end? (since the scale is based on age at time of signing?)

What's the specific diffs between high/med/low contracts? I have a general idea, but curious if I have missed something.

there is a heart bonus as well as chem bonus for higher contracts

Low contract has chem max of 50
High contract has faster chem gains and +25 heart.

Make sure you don't get stuck with all expiring and over the cap. I was in the exact same situation as Queen City, but, didn't resign before the cap calculation. At that point I couldn't resign anybody because I was over the cap. My only course of action was to cut a player to get under the cap then resign the rest of the team.
