That's also assuming that momentum doesn't play a role in blocking.

Obviously it does...once a team gets so many sacks they just start piling it on and the morale spiral is inescapable

Pretty sure he meant momentum as in physics. As in "heavy thing moving fast" hits harder than "heavy thing moving slow"

In long snap situation, such as shotgun, punt, or field goal formation, the center gets off the line pretty quick, (4ticks) quicker than any other linemen, whereas in short snap situations, (QB drops back) center tends to get off the line as slow as any other OL.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Snap Reaction for WR / CB? It seems like given the additional cushion on the outside, it would be pretty useless, but I haven't tried it out.

Seems like it'd be pretty useful in tandem with First Step on guys that plan to try and run past the coverage.

That may have been the case in the play I'm thinking of. I can't remember the formation the offense was in, the center getting of the ball that quick is all that stood out to me. I did check the centers profile and he had the quick snap trait.

Interesting theory and worth testing . . .

I don't know that it'd be very good without the sprinting and quickness to go with it

More of a "you want this too" skill when building a speedster. Probably won't do alot of good just to get a good jump without the speed to maintain that initial advantage.

Well, I thought he did good getting a jump, but with no cutting ability on the digs, he didn't get many looks.

But when running a slant or a fly, I thought he ate up the cushion and got separation on the back end.

FS fired once that game off the snap. He smoked his defender but then came back for the hook route *Face palm*

Did we ever determine whether or not snap reaction helps a FB get out in front on running plays, or if that part is scripted?

You can do that without S.R.
