Hehe, I can give you a few more examples, so never was a bit strong. But it could be games between that happening.

it's not a common thing but even from today's hub/OG game I saw this in the first series of the game

Good Game...I remember Maine getting the 1 vs 11 match-up quite a few times last year. If we have to play you guys again I'll be pretty pissed.

Oh I had no doubts in that. But here is the thing. I am giving up 8 of my 11 defenders to take out your HB and you still put together big chunks of yards each carry without being touched. My worry here is that once guys start carrying defenders more I am pretty much screwed. And I am not entirely sure whether this issue is build related or LB depth related. But seems to be build related which sucks.

P.S...my stump NT is pretty damn worthless. Definitely not a good build idea.

Watched quite a few plays from that game and while builds might have something to do with it, it is certainly a weakness in the sim as well

Wouldn't plays like Engage 8 take the OLBs out of the play on inside runs though? That turns 8 in the box into 6 in the box. I haven't watched enough 4-4 defense though. Perhaps OLBs are just still useless on the inside runs even when not blitzing.

I don't think it is...the plays he is picking are not great run stopping plays.

Inside House blitz has 2 guys rushing the outside basically taking them completely out of the play. The SS is coming all the way from the secondary most likely to miss the play, run into the FB or get there about the time the RB has already gained 2-3 yards.

OLB Blitz 2 is a Pitch Defense or a Pass Defenese. It puts his 2 MLBs in zone coverage so depending on how much Zone Awareness they have they will react late to noticing its a run play.

2 OLB Fire - See Above

Engage 8 from the 3-4 Sends 3 defenders to the outside, it's a terrible inside rush defense.

well the blitzes that are supposed to work don't.

so at this point we are going to need some new defensive plays or drastically over adjust our builds just to match the ridiculousness that is the inside running game.

passing game has its issues as well... but at least you can dial up pressure. Right now all you can do is hope your one free guy makes the right read and doesn't miss a tackle.

Blitzing is not how you stop it. The teams I struggle running against are not blitzing, they set there DC up correctly and have what I assume are decent builds to put there players in position to make a play. If there was a problem with the inside rushing game the teams that did it exclusively would top the rankings.

Hub quicked scrimmed me a couple hours ago and here is the results of there rushing plays only. This is my default defense which has a mix of blitzes and normal Cover 1 & 2 plays. No crazy 8 man blitzes or anything like that. I held them to a 3rd and long quite a few times for them to just turn around and complete a pass against me, but I had an opportunity to get them off the field numerous times during all but there first scoring drive when they broke that longest run.
