It's also possible that it's using cached data from before your ladder game, and it will take awhile to update.

Looks like it caches for 12 hours.

There should have still been some separation between my players after our first league game. I won that game by a huge margin, so there should have been some stats earned. My LB that forced a fumble on STs in the ladder game is showing up in the top 100 right now.

(but still shows 19901 on the bio page)

Only on the HoF page, where I can only see the top 100 places. My players aren't top 100, so I can't find out how they finished last season anymore.

Would be nice if I could change the HoF rankings on my player bio page to each season, or maybe a chart somewhere that showed the ratings for all the seasons so I could see improvement/decline.

This worked for the career, because you just had 1 to 20ish less games than everyone else as a consequence.

If you are a rookie player on a sophomore team, you need to get lumped in with the sophomore players.

So it would be based on the team you play for rather than your actual level? Might make sense (and be practical code-wise)

There was a bug that should be fixed where it wasn't generating overall rankings until the first ladder game.

So long as it isn't possible for a player to play 5 games on a Sophomore team and then be cut, wait until the rookies catch up in age, and then play for a rookie team. That might screw some stuff up.

Okay, I'll check back in tomorrow or later tonight to see if the bio page pulls the new number.

Do you think you will do HoF trophies if you are going by season?

I don't know.

I mean, they are already kind of commemorated by always being viewable on the ranking page.

A .gif on the player's tab is better. I might go and look at the trophy page and see how a player did when I am recruiting, but I doubt I'll go look at the HoF for each season to see where they finished.

But I think it should probably be called something like "All-Pro Rankings" or something instead of HoF if it's a season by season thing.

Should also be seasonal trophies as well.

I don't see how doing it by team is better than age. Either the experienced rookies on sophomore teams at the beginning of the season accumulate stats as rookies and compete against rookies until they are sophomores. Then when they are sophomores later in the season they compete against sophomores. Or they just compete as sophomores. They'll never get the top spot at either rookie or sophomore because they wouldn't have a full season of games at either tier, but that's kind of a fitting downside for that player not using the catch up button. But don't punish inexperienced rookies on sophomore teams. If you are inexperienced in a certain tier then you compete against whichever tier you are, not the team's tier. A rookie on a veteran team should still be competing against rookies as long as he isn't experienced at the beginning of the season. We have 6 brand new rookies on our team this year and I don't see how it would be fair to them to not only face better competition in games, but then also compete against them in stats. They are already having a harder time competing against dots with more earned SP.

They are having a hard time now but a season or so down the line they will be in full competition with older guys.

But they are still one complete tier behind, playing against those one complete tier ahead. It'd be more sensible arguing to give them a bump in HoF rankings at their current age than compound their difficulty of getting to top spot by having them only compete with older dots on the field AND in the ranking. I'm not advocating for that bump btw, just dots compete with same aged dots.

I totally get it if you are not a full tier behind, though. Then you kinda screwed yourself and you have to compete with the next tier up because competing a tier down is obviously unfair.

You also kind of screwed yourself by putting yourself up against higher level competition, unless you did it to game the competition or to try and get a superstar on your team before the superstar was ready for that level.

There's definetly exploit opportunities for putting a rookie player on a Sophomore team, like customization of the support staff that you wouldn't get in the rookie league. A rookie QB in the sophomore leagues with 100% pass blockers and Possession Receivers will get much better stats than a rookie QB playing rookies in the rookie league.

Ya definitely exploitable. And Superstars would be getting sort of unfair bonus compensation.
