I love this idea but I really don't want this to come down to a vote for who makes it and who doesn't. Major sports hold votes for the all star steams for one reason only ratings. Its there way of giving the fans what they want to see so they well watch. We don't have fans or ratings to worry about so we don't need a vote. I for one would not like it if my player didn't make it just because he lost a popularity contest.
Now where I could get behind a vote is if it was for the starters or the last spot on the team. I'll take the NBA for example just because they just had their selections so its fresh in mind. The starters were picked by a vote and the rest of the roster was chosen by the coaches with one spot left to be voted on again.
I'd suggest the game picks the rosters based on performance. We can then vote for who the starters would be from that list. We could even then have a vote for the final spot on the roster open to any player in the league. In my mind its kinda the best of both worlds. I would also suggest they expand the roster for this pro bowl game if possible, maybe 55 left GLB 1 rosters.
