Week 13
South Otto Suppressors vs. Burning Up My Flex
South Otto currently sits atop the Alpha division and likely stays there but they need this win to secure that for sure. The last meeting between these two teams was a 21-0 blowout so I am not sure we can expect much drama to come from it. South Otto is coming off a 7-0 win in ladder play today against the Hand's of Fate. Burning is also coming off a ladder win against the Knights Who Say Ni! 14-13. Not much confidence in this one for Lovie.
Prediction: 28-7 South Otto Suppressors
Big Bone Lick Dominators vs. St. Louis Rams
Big Bone is the divisional and league doormat. With just a single win in league play, they surprisingly kept within 15 of South Otto in their last league game and were drubbed by Rocky Mountain earlier today in Ladder. The Rams are also coming off a ladder loss but to a much better opponent in Jeb's 24-21. I fully expect the Rams to have no problems with the Lick Dominators as their last meeting was a 17-0 squash. The Rams will need to hope for a miracle win by Burning up my Flex to compete for a division crown but they are still well within the wild card chase a half game behind Zorp.
Prediction: 24-0 St. Louis Rams
Sons of Anarchy vs. Powers Revolution
The city of Charming hasn't had a kind stretch as of late. Thankfully this should give them a little bit of confidence in keeping with Alpine as Powers Revolution is terrible. It is hard seeing Alpine losing either of their remaining games and giving Son's any chance but weirder things have happened in Alpine history. Both Sons and Revolution are coming off Ladder losses but this one should be a given. Last meeting was a 17-0 shut out win for Sons.
Prediction: 24-7 Sons of Anarchy
Alpine vs. Rhode Island Bucks
The win over Sons in league play last week should most certainly have clinched it for Alpine but I will never count chickens before they are hatched when it comes to the damage this team can do to itself late in the season. Alpine got a solid win over Somalia today in ladder play 17-10 while Rhode Island survived against the Stallions 13-7. The last meeting between these 2 teams went to Alpine 10-0. The odds are most certainly in Alpines favor, but is luck?
Prediction: 17-0 Alpine
Engage With Zorp! vs. Santiago Benitos
This is where things become truly interesting. Zorp holds the wildcard by a tie. Benito's lost their shot last week with a loss to Funday. The last meeting between these two went to the Benitos however in a 24-14 game. Now granted Zorp has become a power house since and has moved up to a top 5 team in all of GLB2 but this game has all the makings for trap written all over it. A win for Zorp sets up a huge showdown between them and Funday with likely wild card (possibly even divisional) rights on the line. Zorp coming off a nice win over the Bulls in ladder play. Benitos still yet to play the Texans later tonight.
Prediction: 13-10 Engage With Zorp!
St-Truiden Patriots vs. Sunday Funday
The interest doesn't stop with Zorp/Benito's here in Gamma. Funday needs to win against the Patriots to rule out any chance of giving up the division. They are coming off a big win over Benito's and have a ladder game later tonight against Queen City which they will either be reeling from or making a statement with. The Patriots meanwhile are still in the Wild Card hunt and despite being shut out by Zorp last week 14-0, they still sit right in the mix and need to win out to keep their hopes up. They are coming off a 13-9 win over the Coondogs of Hawk league which will give them just a little confidence heading into Sunday Funday's path of destruction. Last meeting wasn't kind to the Patriots, 48-7 Funday.
Prediction: 30-0 Sunday Funday
