We can gameplan. We can limit our playbook to call only plays we want to be run. We just can't decide the exact instances and personnel like we could in GLB1. Choosing plays that match your personnel will always be important. It's why calling more containment oriented plays against goalline formations is ideal because of all those cute kids and their sweeps.

Game planning in this game isn't anywhere near as important as it was in GLB. For teams with any type of versatility you can only hope that the RNG goes your way.
