I'm starting to wonder if raising sprinting early is actually good. I notice on both my WRs they seem to get to their destination really fast, have to go to a complete stop and sometimes go backwards for the ball, and when they make the catch before they can accelerate again they just get hit because they had to come to a stop

We might be overeating agility for speed receivers...just like on GLB, get your quickness up just enough to accelerate, then invest in snap reaction, route technique and balance to compensate.
Just my 2¢.
Quickness is part of max speed so while you can get your quickness to 70 and be pretty good sure that is fine but you will be slower than a guy at 100/100. Not to say either way is good or bad but Quickness works a little bit different than agility did in GLB1.

My WR frequently dives for passes or falls down as he's catching, even when it seems unnecessary. Example:

Is this a carrying issue, a receiving issue, is it toughness / heart? Quickness? Balance? Or just reality when dealing with rookie players?

A lot of you are going to get the "dots falling down" syndrome. Balance and Receiving hands will help to keep you standing up. Just making the catch is important, but you won't be going anywhere if you keep losing your balance when trying to catch.

Dropped Passes
On our team, about 25% of our passing attempts are dropped. How much of it is based on Receiving Hands and how much on Receiver Awareness and Catch in Traffic?

You're asking for something that no one has a legit answer for... it's a magical combination of all three of those I'm sure.

I agree 100% with this. On any kind of streak play, if my QB doesnt get the ball out quick, then he cant even get it to the WR's...I have a couple of WRs on my team that have 50+ Sprinting, and I have a few that are around 37-40 and the resukts are the same. I say Sprinting is important, but not at the rookie level.
