granted im only 5 seasons removed from wl champ game and 6 from wl champ....i might not have been putting the greatest efforts out lately but im still a large competitor here.

goes live...how long?
my guess is it will be in alpha for quite a while. I am not sure if i will move toward it.
It still appears to be a new and improved casual with no dpc or custom slots. The player building looks nice, but that will probably get old after a few months (once the math guys figure out the tricks) and then it's back to the same ole game play complaints.

For now maybe. But I take competitiveness over the scrap heap this will start to be once GLB 2.0 goes live.

I wish GLB 2.0 had came out many seasons before. It might have saved this one from all the people who couldn't figure out what was happening to them, so they just cried and cried until changes were made. GLB might be more fun after all of them leave and go play Tecmo Cas.
AND WHY DO THE PLAYER'S LEGS KEEP MOVING WHEN THEY ARE NOT? STOP RUNNING!

Yeah it seems more like a mini game intended to introduce people to mmo football, hopefully it doesn't kill GLB before people realize the original is a much better game.

You can't say this with utmost certainty without even experiencing the new one.
And I agree with bhall... competition won't exist here once 2.0 goes live (it's already dwindling as is). I don't care if lessens the demand and/or intelligence requirement to play the game at a higher level... if there's more competition, I'm all for it. It's pretty much a 32 fucking day snoozefest up here for a chance to win 4 games in a row.
If you like this mode of building... by all means, keep doing it. I'd rather experience a new challenge than maintain the status quo of build and wait for that once a month & a half 4 game win streak. I'd rather be somewhat lost and start with new challenges and silly run in place sprites.

what makes you think the new game will be any better? As far as "cares during reg season"

Because it is new and they will be actually putting work into it.
We know the player base is going to take a large hit the second that game goes live. I just can't imagine the thought of recruiting once that happens. Game over.

Did it take a big hit when they introduce casual? Seems like a ton of agents took a look and came right back to regular once they saw you couldn't really do anything. Or they kept a team in casual for something to have.

Pretty big difference between a completely new game and just introducing a casual league. When they introduced casual, it just divided up the dots. I could see your point if we could just import our current dots into the new game and come back.

It's supply and demand regardless....the number of teams will drop, or should i say the number of "competitive" teams will drop, however there's 2 things, 1. some users may not like the new game and they will come back here, and/or 2. the new game w/ advertising may end up funneling new blood into GLB1 just based off the fact they want a more intuitive product.
The testing I've done on GLB2 so far I have no doubt in my mind both games can function side by side. There are MANY other factors that go into growing the userbase, but that's what I'm interested to see how bort/co handle that.
