It was Rome's own cockiness i think. It may have been superior builds, bad games, what have you. but think of this, arent most championship games in football blow outs? even tho both teams are usually proven winners? maybe rome simply didnt match up

Nope not really. Since Superbowl 34 four games have been decided by a field goal. Only two superbowls since then have been won by more than two touchdowns.
