When tigerbait22 and I came up with how we were going to build the team having diverse blockers was very high on our priorities. That and making JWB a bitch to deal with lol.

While I think I suck as a DC, I definitely take more chances in big games than most. I think people see uncovered receivers and automatically think omg fail when that is not the case. This play for example, I don't cover the HB or FB which allows me max coverage on the 3 other eligible receivers.

The HB and FB in that play had never caught a pass all season long.
Same here with the uncovered TE and HB.

Granted, I got lucky on this next play. This was a bad play call on my part and thankfully lol GLB decided to throw it into double coverage rather then hit the wide open scat FB.

Most of the time though if I leave a receiver uncovered there's a pretty simple reason. Teams never throw to that particular player. That's not gambling, it's just good logic. If a OC decides to throw to those two and they catch a long pass then they deserve it. It's something I do often as an OC by throwing to players typically not covered in most defensive schemes. Other OC's would do good to learn from that play calling style. I might not have the most effective offensive scheme but I'm pretty sure I have one of the most unpredictable. I know I wouldn't want to DC against my O.
I'm now going to have to cover blocking FB's and TE's the next two games lol.
was a great GP by you on Defense. I was really surprised how well some of the running plays were defended, really expected us to break more tackles than we did.
I expected these plays to be called more by my OAI and thought I had a chance for some decent gains:
This worked a couple times but somehow http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2160482&pbp_id=9029121 - turned into - http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2160482&pbp_id=9029829
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2160482&pbp_id=9031544 - FB was progression tree too
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2160482&pbp_id=9030515 - if only I had stuck with original GP to run this a ton

No need to defend it. I was giving you credit. You took some gambles, but they must have paid off. Doesn't always work out that way, but that's why it's called a gamble. We went with a pretty safe game plan against OFOTD and got beat. Sometimes you have to take some risks to win big games. GL against feet man.
