eta - couldn't resist

For awhile i think cav/myself would keep making gm private forums forgetting we already had one. I think there are like 5 with only 1 actually used for planning/recruiting. I can turn one into a WL Fantasy forum

For example a HB with 100 yards 1TD will get 31 points. that seems awful high

Go to the google doc and look at the season long totals and you will see that it is pretty balanced between the QBs and the RBs/WRs. If I put in a traditional fantasy scoring system the top QBs would score 70 pts a game while the RBs and WRs would score like 12 points a game if that. All the points totals will be higher across the board position to position but they will be balanced with other positions. To me it doesn't matter if an average team score is 100 or 300 as long as it is the same for everyone and as long as the different positions are balanced.

The important thing isn't how many raw points a player scores, but how the top player at that position compares to the worst player who has to start for someone (replacement value).

Hmmm...

QB
Rushing Yards: -1 point per 4 yards (includes sack yardage)

RB
Rushing Yards: -1 point per 4 yards
Receiving Yards: -1 point per 4 yards

WR/TE
Receiving Yards: -1 point per 4 yards

Guess there are some typo?
Gain more yards and more negative score?

I used these rules in S26:

"Offensive Players will be awarded points as follows:

Passing Yards - 60 yards/point (40/point last season)
Passing TDs - 4 points (6 last season)
Ints - (-3 points)

Rushing Yards - 10 yards/point (20/point last season)
Rushing TDs - 6 points
Fumbles (regardless if they were lost) - (-3 points)

Receptions - 1 Point
Recieving Yards - 15 yards/point
Receiving TDs - 8 points (6 last season)

Note - Sacks count as negative rushing yards.

In addition, QBs will be awarded an additional 6 points for every win and will lose 2 points for every loss. This is to help balance the teams that throw a lot when behind, and to help adjust the value of a QB to a winning team.

Defenses/Special Teams will be awarded points as follows:

0 points allowed - 20 points
1-10 points allowed - 10 points
11-20 points allowed - 5 points
21-30 points allowed - 3 points
31-40 points allowed - 0 points
41+ points allowed - (-3 points)

Sacks - 1 Point
Fumbles Forced (regardless of who recovers) - 3 points
Interceptions - 3 Points
Defensive TDs - 6 points
KR/PR TDs - 6 points
Wins - 3 Points

Kickers will be awarded points as follows:

Field Goals made +3
Field Goals missed -6 (-4 last season)
Long kick bonuses - 50+ yards +4 points (+2 points last season)
XPs - 1 point.
(Because XPs missed is so RNG fucked, no points will be taken off for a missed XP)

Tackles, etc. for a Kicker will not be awarded points, nor will touchbacks, because I hate touchbacks."

Are you sure? You seem to be going back and forth on it.

It was a typo. I fixed it.

On PATs while it is true that missed PATs are total RNG I think this is far outweighed by the inordinate amount of them that most GLB kickers get.

No, I'm not wavering at all in my insistence that it's spelled "waiver." I see what you did there though.
