Picked up 6 of these. Not bad, more maple than you'd think, and very smoky. The smoke saves it imo. Also lighter than you'd expect for a beer based on a doughnut.

If you're in to the chocolate covered bacon, I've make some I that's pretty tasty. Thick cut bacon (Wright brand - original or peppered) dipped/covered in a semi-sweet (dark) chocolate blended with powdered ancho, chipotle, and cayenne. Is nice Cook the bacon on a cookie sheet in a 400 degree oven for 21-23 minutes. It'll keep it from curling up and give it a more uniform crisp.

just make it yourself.

1 pound of bacon
2 large yellow onions(diced small)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cidar vinegar
(optional 1 diced sweet red bell pepper)

cut the bacon into tiny pieces(i use kitchen scissors). saute it until the fat is complately rendered, drain on a paper towel. Use the bacon fat to saute the diced onions. cook the onions on med-low heat for at least a good 15-20 min. When the onions are carmelized add the bacon back in and add the brown sugar and vinegar. simmer until the liquid is almost gone. put in the fridge for a couple of hours to let the flavors meld.

Every person who has tried this has creamed in their panties

I had one of those and a Maple Bacon Latte from Cold Man Coffee in Barrow, Alaska on the same weekend. I guess I missed out on the Maple Bacon Beer.
