Shiner is a decent black lager, but I'm currently aging 6 Dogfishead 120 IPAs; a Dogfishhead Squall; and an Allagash, Interlude, Four, Black, and Fluxus; and a Stone Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgium Old Guardian. Funny thing is, many (obviously not all) Texas BBQ joints get their beef from Iowa as it is MUCH more tender.
Texas may (or may not, depending on your taste) have the best beef brisket, but Iowa has the best steaks.
