100% correct and agreed

I would much rather have a team miss the cut in a WL season, than go 0 cares mode through 16 pro games. Pro is boring as shit.

dots are arriving faster...maybe with this bigger pool of same age players pro will get better?....or is it wishful thinking?

won't get better. I mean, it might but with 16 pro conferences you'll never actually notice a difference

Exactly. The Pro leagues are awful at this point

Catch is the only one with Bort's ear.

Even if Catch is in favor of contracting National Pro, I doubt he's pushing it very hard, or else Bort would've done it on the grounds that, "If Catch thinks this is a good idea and he's pushing hard for it, I should probably do it."

Unless one of us is on Bort's white-list, the only one we can PM a petition to is Catch. And the goal of that petition should be to spur Catch into pushing Bort REALLY hard on this -- harder than Catch has already done in the past.

Contracting Pro leagues is NGTH... Bort will be banking on an influx of new agents and teams after the game gets out of beta to bolster the competition throughout the game

....cause those new users will be able to build level 79's right off the bat. That and it would be impossible to remove then add back Pro leagues as needed.

Yea, the number of pro leagues should be more fluid like the leagues below it. Maybe you need a certain amount of teams with an EL above 1200 or something for a new pro league

This game is too complex for new users to jump in and compete at the Pro level or above. The OC/DC base is what is limiting teams from being competitive more than the dots.

More players would just make the full pyramid structure make even more sense. Competition at every level.

I agree, i just think Bort is set on the current system he has in place. After many seasons and an influx of new users im sure the current system could be viable, until then its much of a muchness...

Catch doesn't have Bort's ear. In fact, no one has Bort's ear. I've had suggestions or fixes implemented after 5+ seasons of pushing for them because the one and only thing that matters in a one-owner/coder operation is whether the owner/coder wants it done. I can't speak to how Catch & Bort discuss things privately, but I know that Catch took both the hemispheres idea and the idea of contracting pro leagues to Bort, and Bort doesn't want to change that part of the league structure regardless of what anyone else says or how obviously it's needed. That's one of the downsides to being a one-man operation where the one-man has no boss.

I still can't help but wonder if getting louder on this might change his mind. But I guess since nobody else is saying, "Yeah, you're right Novus, let's do a petition!", that probably means it's not worth my time or energy to try to lead that charge.

Guess I'll just have to focus on making sure we only lose to Grand Banks 49-6 instead of 63-3.

most everyone that's posted in this thread regarding this has already tried for change at least 2 or 3 times. hence why you aren't getting much "support" .... being ignored leads to a lot of apathy in things, this game is no different.
