Thanks but no thanks, I really want to work on my team right now and I think I said in the NBNC forum that I am completely out of retirement and actually have been since about day 20 or so. I plan to play out next season and the two after that for sure and I actually have a new spark that came for me this season and I think I will come back stronger next season and maybe have a chance at finally getting another gold title.

My season has been 0 cares and Dharma made the WL. Shows how the competition isn't what it used to be.

I was kind of hoping to lose... You all know I can't gameplan for shit, and haven't made more than a tweak to my AI since last season. That's not going to spell fortune in the WL, and I predict a quick demote. At least I showed that former PWG dots can make it to the WL, as can former PWG coordinators/owners.

GL going forward.

I get a new spark every time playoff comes around so I can fully relate to that

So we are guaranteed no hissy fit retirement posts for 2 more seasons?

Sounds good....if unlikely.

I can keep playing for a long time. I still think I want to play and can be a good gold team, so why would I go away? Last season was different. My team was so good that I expected to win the gold title or at least the east. When I didn't, that was kinda a big shock and that's why I didn't want to play for a little while. This season, I didn't expect too much, so I was pleasantly surprised and happy with my season and look forward to next season.

So basically what you're saying is that, everytime you don't go to the championship game, you're going to "retire" and whine about it, then come back next season with a new excuse.

Sounds swell.

Actually I think what he said was that this is a game, he lost interest in the game because he fell short of his expectations in said game. Later on he recovered that interest inspired by the overwhelmingly good performance of his effortless approach, and thus was inspired enough to at least assume there are going to be a few more seasons of trying left after all.

There is a huge flaw in your logic, and that is that you forget that this is a game and any kind of obligatory feelings that you hold are completely fabricated and should not, as your attempting here, be forced upon other people-because it is ever so slightly decreasing the quality of my experience playing that game.

Have a good day.

What he said was he lost a game, got mad, "quit", realized he either A. still liked the game enough not to quit or B. realized he had 100k+ worth of flex he didn't want to waste, came back but told people he wasn't trying when he really was, hit the playoffs and told people he started trying around day 20, lost again but realized points A or B or both still existed and nobody would believe him if he quit again and now is going to continue playing. The retirement posts were ego driven and more "look at me" than actual quitting. The excuses were pretty poorly conceived and I am surprised anyone would actually believe them. The reality, however, is that he provides great competition to a dying league/game and that outweighs the drama.
