Now if we were to calculate in tackles for a loss (I don't have the time to go game by game for each) ... I can guarentee Zeke would beat you there. One big game by Rhode does not make him the best DT in the league. Impressive numbers to be sure though.
The safety was on a HB.
Rhode is a run stuffer, not a pass rusher. Since I cannot see Zeke's attributes, I can only assume he's a pass rushing DT. If not then I will bow down to him.
He can play either spot - NT or DT. Has played both for us. Two thirds or more of his tackles have been TFL. They really should track that stat.
Just went to count TFL's for Zeke - 34 on the season ... thats out of a total of 44. 2 of those tackles & 1 TFL was in the first game of the season for his previous team.
Rhode is 28 out of 41 so you have the edge there.
All I am saying, or have been paid to say, is that there is no more unselfish player on any defense than Rhode Block. He hates having to make the tackle, sack, hurry, pass deflection, safety, or force the fumble. He wants that to go to his 10 brothers on the field.
Rhode just likes to toy with the 2-3 OL, TE, and FBs that get in his way each play!
