The most important reason is to actually make this game fun for the pro teams. Right now it isn't fun for neither the good, the semi-good, or the bad teams in pro.

i would like something to be done about the state of Pro - being on basically 3 teams that were the yo-yos of too good for Pro and really struggled in WL. Sofia broke through .. Buda is really close .. but Queensland is still a trip or two behind it appears at this point. The team will drop back to CPL and do absolutely nothing until the CCG where you hope for a fair sim which will decide another 50 days of boredom or 50 days of face smashing, but at least growth in the game.
cut the Pro in half, have an entire league become just a conference. teams keep their regional identity and rivalries, as much as possible. USA+CPL, EEPL+WELP, OPL+SEAPL, APL+SAPL
one thing, i kinda like the WL promotion/demotion system. make the playoffs or go home.

And that's the reason you see some upsets of good WL quality teams in the playoffs. When pretty much everyone in the top 5-6 in each conf can go without gameplanning all season, it means there is nothing to scout for the playoffs and teams break out almost brand new offenses/defenses. Makes the regular season boring and the playoffs kinda strange
I mainly thought that those top pro teams would just like some more things to do and games to plan for and get excited about. You can't really get that excited over a random ranked scrim against a top pro/wl team and league play is still the most exciting. Would be fun for BSS and Palemang play in a big week 6 matchup or something like that (first two pro teams that came to mind)

it also makes it tough for newer coordinators to get any growth and experience. the promotes to WL are probably more hurt by tactics than the build quality they bring in.

That's precisely my thoughts. Also, bottom 8 in Pro demote. Make it harder to get into Pro AND stay in Pro. The only downside is that Semi-Pro may have good young teams have a hard time getting off to a good start against older teams. Since teh Semi's will be twice the size, maybe we separate them by age???? Haven't gotten that far yet.
But after this season drop the bottom 8 from each Pro conference. May have to make a slight adjustment from WL demote--but that will always be the case. Combine the Pro League into a Pro conference. Rename the league to a region or whatever you want to call it.
If you can't make the playoffs in Pro, you really don't deserve to stay. In fact, the 8th place team could also be dropped or shifted to another region to account for the WL demotes. But generally, there is probably enough guts, most will be ok.

Four Pro-leagues just seem to be too many based on the difference in quality of the pro teams. Why not just go with two?

cuz we can't convince the powers that be to go from 8 to 4 ... 8 to 2 will never fly. i dunno how many known-agents have come up with logical ideas and structure in Suggestions and have it go no where.

Can't argue with any of this...would love to see the Pro's get more competitive as well...which in turn would make the WL more competitive. Personally, I'm all about competition. I hate losing the close games, but damn they are fun to watch. Coordinators also have a big impact. I think they are so few good coordinators in the game that it makes the top tier teams that much better.
The CPU teams are a great example (I enjoy testing this theory because it always pisses teams off and the forums go CPU overpowered whine crazy). I can take an empty team...pick and choose what archtype CPU's to fill out the roster with. Set a good depth chart and use offensive and defensive AI's from other teams...this CPU team will then win enough games to not get demoted and beat teams of non-cpu's (all without doing any scouting or AI adjusting). This drives people insane and make them complain about CPU's.
Whereas on the other hand, you can just let GLB fill out your roster, run basic tactics and lose every game by 255+...even to the teams you would beat with my above portion of this.
There is almost too much to this game that it makes for a huge gap between the teams with good coordinators and the teams with mediocre or no coordinators.

With the decrease in players, I sort of look at PL like the old AAA and WL like the old pro league. It's pretty much the same, but the player base has contracted to the point where there is only one true Pro League, that being the WL.

Most people on GLB say they want more competition but they just want to have closer wins, not really the chance of going 4-12
Hemispheres aren't in for one reason and one reason only: Bort doesn't want them.

yup, so more people can feel good about being in a "Pro" league.

True..I don't think BSS is as good as they have been...but in s23 and s24 they were killer...I just used them as an example only because I know they can play...I also know there are probably 10 other teams just like that who dont get out of their league but probably should. I'm not advocating them, and it is their own fault they are still there...just using them as an example.
If you want a lolgm on BSS just ask them.

Pro should be an accomplishment, not a right. The rl Pros don't take anyone because of age and longevity and they certainly don't keep them all around after failing miserably season after season. Why continue with a league that is lolregularseason?

Last season ALPHA newcomers, only 2 out of 8 were able to stick. Blaze and Moose Jaw. Even if BSS did promote they would only win 1 or 2 games anyways
