Wouldn't surprise me either. We tend to play close games against the good teams, and our luck in those games (which nfratami is aware of) is bound to run out at some point.

Should be a close game regardless of how it turns out.

It was a great one. Both defenses played great games.

It was a great game and, for once, the late breaks didn't go our way. Good game, Titans. If we had to lose, I'm glad our first loss came to a high quality team.

Yeah, I think the Titans did have the edge, but loads of potential turning points - like when we had that awesome stand to hold you to a FG from 1st and goal at the 1. Really wish the sim had trusted our kicker to try a FG with about a minute left in the 4th and on your 30(ish).

Live by the wonky sim FG decisions (against the Buddhas), die by the wonky sim FG decisions (this game).

The Titan's back-up HB Darksun deserves the game ball. He killed us the whole game.

Yeah he did, though he's not really a backup. The energy settings are set up so that they get equal carries. I consider them co-starters. If I had favored either one of them this season there is no telling how many yards they could have run for. Going into this game they were #1 and 3 in the league in rushing.

It was a great game. I thought I was going to have to have our kicker killed for missing 2 short ones in regulation. He gets to live thanks to OT.

See you guys in post season play.

Yeah, he seemed to be going along with our deal where we bought him a holiday home in the Bahamas, but in OT he held out for a ski-ing lodge as well. Our bribery budget doesn't stretch that far.

Interesting day in Zeta, with the Red Bulls beating the Titans to move into 3rd, the Buddhas stopping the Gangsters streak, and Pacific knocking Manila down to 8th. It really looks to me (though I'm sure the Buddhas crew will disagree, loudly and often) that the playoffs will be wide open, with nearly any of the teams with a chance to go far. I think the Fisherman (if the standings stay as they are) have a real chance to upset us, and the Bucks, as they showed last game, can clearly push the Buddhas hard in the 1st round. The 4/5 matchup, if it ends up between the Gangsters and the Titans, will be fierce, and I have no clue who is likely to emerge from it.

I think the one thing we can all agree on is that whoever comes out of Zeta is going to bloody well deserve it. No team thats left is a push around. As for the alpha - well I think we know which division will be taking home the title and the coveted "VLD MVP trophy".

I agree that the playoffs are going to be hard, but betting anyone besides the Bulls or the Buddhas to take zeta is just bad betting. Last season I was on a team that was a 5-8 seed (can't remember) and we ran it to the conference finals with much less talent than the rest, so I myself know first hand it can happen.

Besides the Buddhas game I am really looking forward to the 4-5 matchup.

As much as it pains me to say this, I would agree. I'm a Red Bull, and I'll fight to the death, but I'm also a realist. I think this is the Buddah's season. Next season, however, I think the Red Bulls will be much better (not that we're bad).

Good luck to you nfratami, I hope you win, cause I want your team out of this league!
