I said you would likely be the biggest Challenge to the Punch. What more do you want?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Kalahari Heat will be one of the top 3 in Lion. Solid team on the rise with owners who have been here before and know what is required. As for Zambezi - we take pride in fielding playoff teams, but as many have stated earlier - recruiting when you are not part of a huge organization is very tough. Zambezi was down to 18 players. While I like our signings, we are much younger, chemistry is shot, roster is still not filled up and I don't know what to expect. Probably not much different than all the old teams
It saddens me that due to recruiting problems we have lost ALL of the old time teams in Lion. This is our 10th year here and I don't think there is anyone else in Lion who has been here 4. All the longtime rivals...the Tanzania Lumberjacks, Tanzania Mountaineers, D-9, Carthagenian, Lincoln, Philly, Uganda, and too many more to name...All gone....This is only sad..

Well said - sad but true
It was inevitable that those teams without adequate farm systems built in three season increments would have to either recruit like madmen within a network, or reload entirely... or merge...
While it is nice to relive the memories of the old guard within GLB, the evolution is a good thing for the newer teams trying to make their mark - and a lot of them have the same agents, owners and coordinators - the game always could use fresher faces and turnover so that the fat cats have to actually run to stay in shape...

This will be our 4th season in APL. And with the turnover in the conference, the fact that we have a full roster this year, and barely missed the playoffs last season....I'm sure we'll make some noise.

I knew we would be better than the 3 wins projected last season. Until I see projections for this season, I make no promises...haha.

hmmm... I think I'll project you guys for 16 wins. So what's the new name if you don't meet that goal???

Looks like there are only two ways we play you this year. Either the 1st week or the championship. I am not counting LOL scrims

Well, with the start up of the new season..The offseason nightmare of recruiting is nearing its end. Still 4 players short. Hard to say what we have got. The new plays will add some wrinkles, but it's hard to know which ones will work the best.
The newbies with all the funny names are making their presence known. Funny, they say we lose 1 team to the World League and drop the bottom 2...My math says that we should have 13 returning teams...I count 6 with two crossovers from Elephant. Does any one here want to be our new rival? It was Uganda and Philly last two years...I'll post some mean things about your team..and then you can copy it to your team forum...
