WEEK 1 RANKINGS - Not going to move too much around since it was interconference games.
LION
1 Somalia Pirates (1-0) - Opened up the season with a dominating win over ABD.
2 Philly Franklins (1-0) - Crushed Norfolk easily.
3 Guyana Punch (1-0) - Basically a bye week.
4 San Diego (1-0) - Big shutout win over the younger BSS team.
5 CWE (1-0) - Put on a clinic against ECS but will they be able to replicate that against better teams.
6 Lincoln (0-1) - Is Carthage that good or has Lincoln fallen on hard times this season?
7 Zambezi Silverbacks (0-1) - Not a good start to the season. Turnovers, ineffective ground game, shutout on offense, etc.
8 Mega City Monsters (0-1) - They racked up a ton of rushing yardage but in the end that wasn't enough for a win.
9 Oklahoma Outlaws (1-0) - In a battle for 4 quarters but a 14 point 4th quarter put them ahead finally for the win. Question is whether this is a sign of improvement or if GGs troubles from last season have wormed their way into this season.
10 Nile River Assassins (0-1) - Not off to a great start as they still couldn't beat a top team to open the season.
11 Texas Longhorns (0-1) - The Longhorns are probably looking at another rough season if that first game was any clue.
12 Nuremberg Nighthawks (0-1) - Didn't get much of anything done against a team that might not even make the playoffs this season.
13 Transylvania (0-1) - Averaging under a yard per carry won't cut it if they want to get some wins.
14 Cape Verde Aces (0-1) - If Nairobi was a measuring stick than the Aces have a long way to go.
15 Manchester Mass Murderers (0-1) - A rough season ahead.
16 Medicine Hat Witch Doctors (0-1) - Big loss.
ELEPHANT
1 Carthage Mad Clash (1-0) - Just took an 11-5 team and made them look like a 5-11 team.
2 Warriors (1-0) - Kicked off the season with a bye week.
3 RMT (1-0) - Started off the season with a nice shutout win.
4 Nairobi (1-0) - Demolished the Aces by a large margin.
5 A7 (1-0) - Took apart Zambezi in just about every single way.
6 Sons (1-0) - Got an easy win over TGR but, like ICB, I expect more this season.
7 ICB (1-0) - I know a win's a win but I expected more out of their first match-up.
8 ABD (0-1) - Couldn't get anything done against one of the best Lion teams this season. Could be a rocky start for them.
9 49ers (1-0) - Yes they won but the competition wasn't exactly top tier.
10 Gotta Have More Cowbell (1-0) - Gotta shredded Mega through the air to secure the win even after they gave up a ton of rushing yardage.
11 WWR (1-0) - The Rhinos are back to business as usual with a dominant win over Nuremberg. Still hard to see them breaking too far over .500 this season.
12 BSS (0-1) - Not off to their greatest start and that loss shows how far this rebuilding unit has to go.
13 Guyana (0-1) - Not the start they were probably hoping for.
14 ECS (0-1) - Got decimated by CWE and right now it's looking like more of the same for ECS.
15 Norfolk (0-1) - Not going to be a very good season for the Nighthawks judging by that first loss.

WEEK 2 RANKINGS
LION
1 Somalia Pirates (2-0) - Gave up a total of 40 yards while they rushed for over 450 yards. That's success every time.
2 San Diego (2-0) - A defensive slugfest against Philly with both offenses struggling to get anything done. Neither team got in the endzone (unless you count SD getting a safety) and turnovers were the big tale of the game.
3 Guyana Punch (2-0) - Things looked bad when the let CWE score pretty quickly but then GP came out and controlled the game for 3 quarters. They controlled the clock and played some solid defense to hold CWE without another score for the next 53 minutes. Hell of a game between 2 very good teams.
4 Philly Franklins (1-1) - Turnovers killed Philly with 3 of them turning into 9 points for SD. The offense failed to generate too many sustained drives so there's work to be done on that side of the ball.
5 CWE (1-1) - CWE came out and struck quickly scoring the games first TD with just under 14 minutes to go in the 1st Q. That was the last time they would see the endzone until the 4th Q though.
6 Zambezi Silverbacks (1-1) - Took control of the game in the first half and coasted to the win. They did give up a ton of passing yardage and I expect a little more from this team considering the opponents.
7 Lincoln (1-1) - A week after being manhandled by Carthage the Saints came out and put on a special teams show scoring 6 of their TDs on returns. They were playing what looks to be Lions whipping post this season so the biggest negative I take away from this game is that the offense was not great as they had to settle for 6 FGs and only scored 1 TD against a weak team. With Somalia up next that doesn't bode well.
8 Oklahoma Outlaws (2-0) - The Outlaws jumped out to a commanding lead in the first half which proved to be enough to hold off any comeback attempts.
9 Nile River Assassins (1-1) - Battled back and forth through the first half but they just took it over in the second half as they put up 20 points before MCM finally scored a FG.
10 Texas Longhorns (0-2) - Two games into the season and Texas has yet to score a single point.
11 Mega City Monsters (0-2) - Last week they pounded the ball and lost. This week they went to the air and still lost. They're putting up stats but it's not translating to points and wins. It's getting hard to see this team rise above 6-7 wins this season.
12 Transylvania (1-1) - Faced off against MMM which was a good matchup for both teams. They were pretty even throughout the game until TGR pulled off a 14 point 4th Q to put them too far ahead.
13 Nuremberg Nighthawks (0-2) - Struggled in the first half but they got some thing going in the second half. It was too late by then to close the gap but they're showing they have some fight in them.
14 Cape Verde Aces (0-2) - Not getting it done but showing a little promise for next season.
15 Manchester Mass Murderers (0-2) - Next week could be their best shot at a win for the first half of the season.
16 Medicine Hat Witch Doctors (0-2) - Another loss.
ELEPHANT
1 Carthage Mad Clash (2-0) - Dismantled BSS easily. Starting to look very much like the team to beat in Ele at this point.
2 Warriors (2-0) - Very close game after the first half but then the Warriors came out on fire in the second half and scored the games final 28 unanswered points.
3 RMT (2-0) - Dominating teams right now but the first 4 weeks are fairly light until they have to play Carthage week 5. Easy to see them go 4-0 the way they're playing right now.
4 A7 (2-0) - Exploded in the 4th quarter as they scored the first 24 points in the quarter to take the lead.
5 Nairobi (1-1) - Went into the 4th holding a 6 point lead before it all fell apart.
6 Sons (2-0) - Crushed Norfolk in a shutout.
7 ICB (2-0) - Back and forth game as ICB took an early 10-0 lead in the 1st before falling behind 10-13 at the end of the first half. A solid 4th quarter gave them the lead and win.
8 Gotta Have More Cowbell (2-0) - It looked like Gotta was on their way to a loss after 15 minutes but then they spent the next 31 minutes putting up 38 unanswered points. They shut down ABDs ground game while piling up 560 total yards of offense.
9 49ers (1-1) - Looked like we had a game going after 30 minutes but then things fell apart in the second half.
10 WWR (2-0) - mmm stats.
11 ABD (0-2) - After one quarter it looked like ABD was going to give Cowbell a proper APL welcoming. They held a 17-7 lead and looked bound for a win. Then they let Cowbell back in it big time and could never make up the ground they lost.
12 BSS (0-2) - Didn't stand much of a chance against Carthage. We'll see how they fare next week against the Rhinos.
13 ECS (0-2) - Held their own against a good team. Could they be climbing out of the bottom slowly? They have another rough one next week but after that they may start winning some games.
14 Guyana (0-2) - Shutout for 54 minutes. They should be able to compete against some of the upcoming teams but they still have Cowbell, Nairobi, Warriors and the Sons before the halfway point.
15 Norfolk (0-2) - After 2 games they've given up over 110X the points they've scored.
16 Ghana (0-2) - Another loss.

LION
1 Somalia Pirates (3-0) - Just finished pillaging Lincoln big time.
2 San Diego (3-0) - Not much of a contest this week but next up is CWE.
3 Guyana Punch (3-0) - Easy pickings this week.
4 Philly Franklins (2-1) - Philly had their game well in hand by the time TGR started to put up consecutive points in the 4th.
5 CWE (2-1) - Just took over the game completely for 2 quarters outscoring the Outlaws 69-6 in the 2nd and 3rd.
6 Zambezi Silverbacks (2-1) - Took a 33-13 lead into the 4th and almost let it slip away near the end. Need to get a little more production out of the ground game.
7 Lincoln (1-2) - Beaten in every way possible by the Pirates.
8 Oklahoma Outlaws (2-1) - Can't say that wasn't expected (ok maybe that bad of a loss) but the Outlaws should bounce back with the Aces up next.
9 Nile River Assassins (1-2) - The scoreboard makes it look like a close game but for 3 quarters it really wasn't. It took a special teams TD just inside of 2 minutes to get within 6 but there was no more magic left at that point.
10 Mega City Monsters (1-2) - Pretty even matchup as expected. It took a 4th quarter pick 6 to break the tied game and give Mega the win.
11 Transylvania (1-2) - Didn't get much of anything accomplished through 3 quarters. Maybe next week they'll get somewhere against Nuremberg.
12 Texas Longhorns (0-3) - Tough loss for Texas and it's hard to see them winning more than 2 of their next 6.
13 Nuremberg Nighthawks (0-3) - Really struggled to do anything today. Next week could get them their first win though.
14 Manchester Mass Murderers (1-2) - Finally pick up their first win but with Somalia up next the party will be over fast.
15 Cape Verde Aces (0-3) - Could be another 2 weeks before this team faces more equal competition.
16 Medicine Hat Witch Doctors (0-3) - Another loss.
ELEPHANT
1 Carthage Mad Clash (3-0) - Charley Young averaged over 20 ypc. That alone spells a win every time.
2 A7 (3-0) - Bumped them up because they are just killing some good teams and have had the slightly tougher schedule to date.
3 Warriors (3-0) - Close game until the end. Smith scored the game winning TD as he spun his way around defenders.
4 RMT (3-0) - Coming off a bye week.
5 Nairobi (2-1) - Dominated ABD pure and simple.
6 Sons (2-1) - A hell of a game that makes me wonder how much the chem difference affected the outcome.
7 ICB (3-0) - Easy win over Norfolk. Next 4 games will be big ones to help out with seeding later.
8 Gotta Have More Cowbell (3-0) - Getting it done right now but will they be able to say the same in the second half of the season when they'll be playing 6 potential playoff teams.
9 WWR (3-0) - Had it easy up until now. Next up: Carthage.
10 49ers (1-2) - Wasn't expecting much against Carthage and the next few weeks could go just as rough.
11 ABD (0-3) - Not getting it done this season. If they can't beat the next 2 teams on the schedule things are going to get ugly.
12 BSS (0-3) - Youth is not helping them at all.
13 ECS (0-3) - Just as quickly as they started to impress me they fell hard.
14 Guyana (0-3) - Were only down by 10 going into the 4th but then they gave up 35 points.
15 Norfolk (0-3) - 3 points scored on the season. That says it all.
16 New Jersey Juggernauts (0-3) - Ghana is now the Juggernauts but the only thing unstoppable this week was the Thunder.
