my main outstanding issue about chipotle is that they always pack way more rice than is necessary in a burrito into that thing. it ends up tasting more like the rice than the other shit inside it (most importantly, da fukken meat), and it ends up fragmenting into a sad little burritoheap that sometimes requires a fork to eat. i prefer a more compact burrito.

probably worth noting that i'm not a fan of beans in my burrito. dunno if i'm alone there. >_>

If it is not a national chain, some background and information would be nice for the rest of us.

Unless you think the Man vs. Food should be Adam in front of a camera and saying "Anna's Taqueria...Slash Show" and the other 29 minutes and 55 seconds being white fuzz and/or commercials....Granted, if it is all burrito restaurant commercials that might not necessarily be a bad deal....but I gotta think those "We buy Gold" assholes will work their way in there somewhere...

Point taken. National chains are great to satisfy a *need* for a burrito and the lack of knowledge of the burrito joints in the area. Moes > Chipotle > Baja Fresh in my mind. Never had Qdoba.

Anna's Taqueria is a burrito joint with restaurants throughout the Boston area. I am not from Boston, but visit quite often and found the place through the burritoblog.com. It fits the profile of a dive, but also the high traffic requirement you stated previously. I haven't been there recently enough to give a more detailed explanation, but am looking forward to my next trip.

And Moe's can't see Chipotle. I'm sorry. Not nearly enough cilantro.

fuck burrito bowls...it's not a burrito is a fucking pile of toppings and like you said closer to nachos or a taco salad than a burrito.

I was simply solving the problem.

i always ask for a tiny bit of rice, which:
-usually catches them off guard. do people really like 50% rice in their burrito?
-sometimes ends up with them shorting me on everything else because they're trying to keep the ratios the same, which makes me sad.

but still better than just spooning out a half pound of rice to find the meat and salsa.
