Ah, that's probably what's going on. GLB tends to have A Lot Of Time go by when "moving the chains" and it's somewhat random. I wouldn't really call that a bug, just a How GLB Works.
Maybe one of the stadium upgrades you should be able to buy is +Speed on the chain gangs.

"How GLB works" isn't a very good excuse when it results in unrealistic behavior.

For both plays you talk about angles to get a tackle...if those guys tried and completely missed by running behind them....guess what? People would bitch they didn't take the correct angle, either.

Why aren't you complaining that GLB has too many plays as unrealistic? If things ever moved faster we would have even more plays, leading to even more unrealistic behavior.

Yeah you're right, rather than the sim allowing players to do what they would do IRL and put themselves in position to make a play, it is better if it prevents a play from being made altogether.
