It was fun trying to get to GOLD, then no fun at all as I saw how much better the GOLD teams were, and other than last season, I have struggled just to keep in the league.

It IS fun to play the same guys each year and see how much you have improved, or what you can "tweak" that may just catch another team out.( basically for me, how much I can learn from the other team!!)

that option may be gone, and it may be that we are about to see a league of teams all built the same way, using the same plays and same schemes on defense.

Where is the fun in that?


Maybe GLB should give PEE WEE teams a chance to buy 5 extra skill points for 5 players on their team.( a non returnable non carrying over to next season purchase - like a special piece of equipment)

It would have to be spent all on either
1) 5 receivers ( TE +/or WRs)
2) 5 O-Line players
3) 5 D-line players
4) 5 CBs +/or safeties

What that would do is give a team a chance to boost for the season one aspect of their game. i.e. either be a strong passing team, strong running team etc etc

If ( and it is a big if) passing is tweaked up, then the 5 extra points may be enough to have WR wide open again ( and able to catch)
If BORT were to UP the false start penalties for teams that rush the ball every down, then I think that would make offenses think twice about the SLAM-for-4-down-style play.
Even if you use the points for O-line ( for example) you only have 5 players with the bonus. In theory you could go 2 x ROT and 2 x RG and maybe try running all plays that way, but by game 3 all other teams will know your style of play. Hopefully DPC will be good enough to be able to counter this.
Even if you play a team that controls the clock, they only get 7 for a TD ( that is if your kicker doesn't miss the PAT). But if passing is "upped" and you have a 5 extra point for your receivers, then you may be able to get a quick TD straight back.

What it would mean ( hopefully) is that we would have different style teams in one league.
1) A beefed up offense that just wants to run
2) a beefed up D-line that does not let the inside run get more than 2 yards
3) A strong passing team
4) A very quick and strong secondary.

But if things stay the same ( or in reality get worse)....then I can see myself just letting the flex run down and then donate the rest away.

PW interest is down to about 10% for me. I did make a few dots for some other teams, but my interest is in getting my 2 other teams to the highest levels of GLB right now.
With the new age based garbage though, recruiting just got rediculous again and I will have to evaluate at seasons end whether I will go forward or not.

Start of season 19, I was 100% in.
Now, maybe 25%

My interest level is down such that I just now found this thread. I'll answer in parts.

My interest in GLB as a whole is down significantly from what it once was, probably 30% down.

My interest in PW is down probably 80% from what it once was. I've got dots on 4 teams and keep up with them. That's about it. The time I spend coaching and watching games anymore is down at least 80%.

My interest in upper leagues (mainly the SR-22's and the Rookie League DSBM) is probably still growing. What I'm finding is that well built dots can contend with the ever changing SIM. I will admit that if they don't fix passing though, my interest there will fade quickly as well.

So, as a whole, I'd say down 30%. For PW, down 80%, for upper levels, probably up 80%.

About 60% down in GLB in General, Trash Talkin' forum is the only reason I even sign on now.

And about 80% In PW. Bort thinks we're nobodies and doesn't give a shit unless his upper level agents get what they want.

I'll prolly quit this game if the DPC remains the way it is now ...it' just killed the romance

DCing is why I am still here ...there is nothing for me here if DCing is extinct ...maybe it's time to find a new game

My interest in the game is the same. I enjoy the game regardless of changes because I play for FREE... Once upon a time I spent about $20.00 so I could build more players beyond that I've always just collected the Free Flex and use those from Season to Season.

I enjoy learning Offensive and Defensive Al's. I take Pride in game planning vs good teams and winning.. Every other game I've played worth talking about has costed me money and needed a Console.(PS3, Wii etc.)

As far as the new DPC....it is what it is....I dont think it is better. I think they should have left it alone. Let the QBs play like they are Drew Brees despite they are level 6 and let me control the positioning of my D Line...

QBs are still throwing at 50% completion.....still too high for Pee Wee...6 year olds cant throw completions at 50%....Tired....very tired of hearing the crying about this.....they....are.....Pee Wees....the passing nerf is not that far off on the Pee Wee level.

The D line positioning in the new DPC is the worst.....very, very, poor....Im disappointed in this change.....has it changed my enthusiasm about GLB.....uh no...

Ive been here since season 7 and watched this kinda crap every season....if you cant be flexible, you are gonna be pissed....they are gonna fuck with it every season and you have to adapt...you better adapt...or you can puss out.

The strong doesn't survive...the survivors are the ones that are willing to adapt.

This is not a prison camp.....you can leave any time you want....really...you can. Funny how people linger and cry about the changes and threaten to quit but yet they are still here....hanging around and crying....

Dont like it here at GLB?....well go play Halo or Madden or something.....the game you buy will not change or get nerfed...It will still be the same game 2 years from now...

If you wanna stay , you can trudge through the forum or you can adapt or you can puss out....Cant be a Martyr at GLB...no body cares how much flex you buy.

dunno bout the dpc but how many real life pee wees do you know that are 6' 2" and weigh 195 lbs ?

The fact is we pay , let me say that again, we .....pay..... to play this game just as anyone else does. For my money I'd like to get half and half. I'd like to be a passing team if I want to build one or a running team. As it stands now you can only have one. Ya see my QBs and Wrs are playing against the same level defense so he should complete 50% or better if the team is set up to be a west coast offense.

BTW you can shove your madden where the sun don't shine.

Yup...but I don't think that it should be realistic to that much of an extent...QBs are not throwing a 50% completion rate and it is more like 25% to the WRs

DL Positioning is stupid, the whole nerf of the DPC was stupid for PW, there were no exploit blitzes to begin with

I agree 100%......the guys in control arent testing pee wee...they are testing level 38 and level 72....... no one cares about Pee Wee....no one is working to make Pee Wee better.

We are doing the testing in this league and if we dont like it and say something, we get told " Get over it. Its Pee Wee".

Long story short we are not a priority, cant say I have a better method other than they didnt need to screw with the D line positioning.

Anyone see where this was an exploit? ...Doesnt matter anyway...they arent gonna do much if anything for Pee Wee.

And the more Owners give up and quit, the weaker our case becomes....we really dont have a foundation with the loss of interest and I cannot realistically expect everyone to share my enthusiasm for the game...I expressed all this but the DPC train moved forward....

Ummm...the point of this thread is to state how much interest you have lost and why. If you are weary of crying, this might be a good thread for you to stay out of. You CAN choose not to read a thread....really...you can.

A few seasons ago as a tester I asked about setting up a level 1 or level 10 team on the test server to run through some of the latest changes and was told if I wanted to test lower levels to use the lvl 38 team.

Recently catch has created a bunch of lower level teams but I haven't been very active over there lately so I don't know if they are actively being used to test with.
