Say you have 500 Flex Points spent on it you would get back 350???

Okay, just to make sure I'm clear I want to ask a couple of questions...

1. If you have all 6 points used on your custom equipment, when you get to level 8 can you still add the bonus to your skill line? Basically wondering if it's a choice between one or the other (or a combination of both).

2. How many times can you do the skill line upgrade?

3. What does the upgrade for regular equipment do?


I'm about to hit level 7, so I'll be at 8 before too long... but I don't really feel like waiting to find out the answers. Thanks in advance.

Bort, DD...any timeline as to when we'll be able to sell back custom equipment? I've got one player with two sets, and I'd like to sell one back. Looks like there are a bunch of idiots in the same boat as me who bought an extra, totally useless set by mistake.

I hope this thread can get a clear summary as it looks like tons of people are all over the place. I'm waiting to buy cistom equipment for fear of pulling a Johnny Coli ;-)

Any updates on selling back Custom Equip.?

I havent seen this question answered yet. If i have a piece of equipment (lets say gloves at catching +1) and i sell it back do i lose the plus +1 catching that equipping the gloves gave me or does it stay?

Thanks for the response. Only one thing, I don't think I was very clear with my second question. I meant that when you reach level 8, do you only get one upgrade to the skill line, or can you upgrade it multiple times?

You have to equip the item to get the bonuses. So no you couldn't sell it and keep the +1.

I assume you can upgrade multiple times. Everything they've implemented so far points in that direction. Ask again when there are level 16 players.

Just did this, so, here is the skinny for stickying:

UPGRADE store bought equipment - UPGRADE by pressing the UPGRADE button. For $2500 you can add another +1 of ANY skill.

UPGRADE custom equipment - apparently there is an UPGRADE button where, for 300 FPs, you can add +1 for any specialty skills tree. I did not see this, so I sold the equip and rebuilt it, burning 180 FPs. Don't be like me. Check for the UPGRADE button before you sell anything.
