and really, i would take +3 attributes. if you stack AEQ, its good to find that 5% piece, but after that, its more cost effective to try and find +3 pieces since adding 2% is cheaper than adding +3.

Im probably going to wait until level 30 and shop a little more.

I do, and because you said so I will. I trust your advice. Amigo.

the only probelm i have with waiting that long is at that point, it is more likely you will be finding what the sim considers better pieces... ie +1-2 attribute + SA pieces, pieces that are essentially worthless. i would rather roll lower and have a better chance to roll blank +3 and blank % pieces so you can enhance them.

i've found that level 40 is the best time to roll, although I've had good luck at lvl 30.
But past level 40 i started rolling +3 (relevant attribute(speed)) +1 relevant SA/5% relevant stat often. It is a lot cheaper than buildign those pieces.

it is all luck. I have some players hit good stuff at level 32 or level 41, and others can't find crap. I would rather just wait until level 61 where at least there are more pieces to look at each time.

a blitzer build in a 3-4?

Doesnt the LB of a 3-4 need to be able to do it all, including stuffing powerbacks, coverage, flat containment, as well as blitzing?

shouldnt they be built like undersized DE's, essentially?

i dont quite get the emphasis of this thread on one sole job for a 3-4 LB.

Any player that can be custom slotted should be built EXTREMELY focused on what their job is. You almost certainly want one or two or your LBs in a 3-4 to be built like a kick ass DE which is to say 80,80,80 str, spe, agi with equip on str and agi. Behind them you stash your coverage types and your blitz types. Being able to do it all means doing everything poorly. GLB may go that way, but right now GLB is about doing one thing better than everyone else.

Good luck with 80 Speed LBs

thats a good point., when i was making the build i proposed, i guess i was just thinking "oh, its major, i guess i should do tackling now...", but, youre right in that tackling really isnt the end all be all for a blitzing LB. it usually doesnt take much to take down a QB, and the radius extension, as you said is fairly minimal. i dont know how i would edit the build i have on the first page to get strength to 70+ without taking tackling to a level which i would consider dangerously low... maybe take a cap out of tackling, or just rearrange the cap order, but more strength would be beneficial so you dont get caked on every run play or every time to get engaged. pass rusher and stone wall VAs should help, although it wont save you every time you are engaged with 140+ strength OL... in fact, you would still probably be caked more times than not if your strength is that low. again, the point of that kind of build is to not be touched when you blitz, but it is inevitable that you will be engaged at some time(s) during the game, and the other team will run the ball.

Say you cap strength 3rd to let algs take it higher, and only 1st cap tackling. You say your goal is to not be touched, why not drop the break block or shed block pieces. Keep disguise blitz as your first sa, take head of steam as the 2nd, then tv as the 3rd since the build called for 3 extra sas anyways. Use the 2 freed up aeq slots to make 2 fs pieces so you still get the benefit there. You can use the sp you would have spent 2nd capping tackling on either strength, shed block, or raising any of the extra 3 a little higher. I just think head of steam is a perfect fit there since its entire purpose is to help you avoid blocks.

Why is everyone putting so much tackling on a pure pass rusher.

If you leave tackling alone, you can have 84 strength to go along with 154 speed, 84 agility, and 84 vision. So what if your tackling attribute is ridiculously low, with that much strength, agility, and vision, you are still going to have a good tackling roll, especially when momentum is factored into the equation.

seems like an awful lot of vision / overkill to get a good jump. why so much?
