I would guess they dont want to condense too much in the case that they are hoping when plateau hits full circle there will be a ton of players filling the teams and when they come out of Beta (lol) and really bring their business full tilt that they will just have to start overcreating leagues again...

i mean...might be bad for business now...but in the long run it probably makes more sense to leave the leagues and hope they fill up then delete and later have to recreate.

the spark needs to come from the sim itself.

They don't want to condense pro leagues because it helps to have more teams be able to reach "pro status" despite that it means shit at this point. So many terribad teams like the fact they can claim they're a pro team. If it was 4teams and less were able to get there, a lot of people would complain imo

I remember when reaching AA was like an OMG accomplishment.

I was proud to get to AAA and then Pro was like "omg we are pro, fuck yea" back when only trophy winners got promoted

Conferences are just going to get better and better over the next couple seasons as more and more players are peaking at the same time. I'd expect Pro Conferences to get much deeper over the next two seasons too, which should be good for GLB. It took a while, but having a real extended plateau was a great decision for GLB.

I honestly don't think pro will get much deeper. Maybe like 2-3 teams per conference instead of the 1-2 there is now. Seriously just way too many pro teams and not enough good dots (depth not just having like 10-12 top notch dots) and good coordination/tactics/aeq/sa/va/etc...

4 pro leagues would be sooooo much better. You'd see active forums, intense competition, and more fun overall. The downside is more teams would be exposed as not pro material and less teams would be able to hang their hat on the "i'm a pro team" thing. Bort would rather have more teams disillusioned into thinking they're good than make the pro leagues make sense imo as it's prob better for business. Plus change is always met with resistance

Ya but with the extended plateau...a guy like taut can be running like 12 different teams at once with a couple guys like me who have a decent amount of dots to fill in the gaps...

The problem is that the number of dots at plateau will always be in flux. One year there will be enough for 40 WL-quality teams. 5 seasons later, maybe it's down to 30, maybe it's up to 55. Any # of leagues you set things to will collapse at some point.

was a fun season for sure...dunno if Osaka can be considered as peaking with something like 20 dots with boost and level 72 gear coming next season....best of luck to the remaining teams and we get to do it again in 3 weeks
