Not the point bob. It opens up the flood gates for other owners to inquire on player availability. Upon doing so, rock got bent out of shape and wrote some sharp pm's out to myself (apparently missing 3 other owners I had heard from that were also pm'ing some of the players to inquire on their availability for S17) for checking with a few of the player... it was rather laughable and embarassing. I thought he was done, then he went back at it on D41 when I started signing our commits... best part was, as TH said above, I didn't sign a single QCBC player - yet I still got a slew of PM's criticizing me for signing the guys I signed.

Yeah, but that 70% would probably understand the reaction of the owner potentially losing those players as well. I'm not privy to the PMs, so I don't know if they were out of line or not, but you can see why someone might get upset. I wouldn't necessarily see fault on either side.

That's fair... It was a dead issue to me until I got another sharp witted PM criticizing me for signing players off teams that demoted back to pros. I was taken aback at that point, hence the GLB forum post.

Oh I see. You did ask about my dot and were very polite when I told you that the team was sticking around. You told me if anything changed to let you know. I didn't think you were trying to take dots from QCBC, but would take some if the team was dropping down or being sold. I guess the best thing to do is to ask the team owner if they are sticking around and not the agents.

Recruiting players from your opponents is as old as the hills. I don't see what's wrong with it. Do you think the Vikings don't love that they got Favre to play for them? Do you think the Packers don't hate it? So what? It's called competition for a reason; be a good owner and win games and your players won't leave.

Yea, wsdp. It was really just allowing the players to see if they were gonna make the playoffs. Was a nailbiter and i don't think Rock wanted to force people to play in CPL when they really dreamt of WL. I don't really know the whole story but i can say that rocklee has absolutely zero posts in the gm forum and main forum so take that for what it's worth. Can't we all get along?
