If you are going to go that route, at least throw in some stuff about how the scrims are "more pure" or something with no nachos and bobblehead days and team bus and hotel stays and so on, and even can be held on a neutral field (no Hometown Hero) (not sure if you guys played with hometown effects or not, though)

That said, I do enjoy the modern interpretation you've provided of Aesop's Fable "The Fox and the Grapes". Top notch!
