In all honesty, 90%+ of the effective dots should have similar builds at this point. Season long performance depends on the route you take to get there.

True, I was just saying it looked like most other center builds I see.

Also points into run SAs. Every year I hear something different:

Run blocking needs moar strength
Run blocking needs moar agility
Run blocking needs moar blocking
Run blocking needs moar speed

Finally I just built my Center to look kind of like my run blocking TE:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2092398

This build has always been good for holding his block and getting pancakes. I knew that being outside he would likely be up against weaker players, so the pancake numbers could have been exagerated, but it made me think that momentum had a lot to do with it, so I gave my centers more strength, speed, and agility to get that initial push. Obviously it made football sense, but I forgot this game was programmed by someone who never played a game of football in his life.

My other center was built like this:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2092515

Still only 28 blocking, but to me blocking has always been about pass blocking. Speed, Weight, Strength, and Agility along with SA tree skills should be the running game.

Pass blocking should be about blocking, agility, speed, vision, and strength, along with the skills in the pass blocking tree.

And here is where the confusion begins. This is a Game that has nothing to do with Real Life Pro Football. Your question was why did my Center get Caked on a running play. Blocking is Blocking. Pass Blocking and Run Blocking both have to do with BLOCKING. If your guys can't Block you would think they would need more Blocking.

Start the PeeWee League @ level 40 when I come back to PeeWee League, so I can end up with some Centers like these @ the playoffs.

How much more? Cause I'm seeing a Center get Rev-caked on running plays about 50% of the time in the first couple of ticks with 50 blocking.

Are you suggesting a 50 strength, 80 blocking build?

Opposite, 80 st 50 bk. If you stick to that, add some SP into the Balance SA IMHO.

yea, what you propose isn't horribly effective either.

I think the problem you guys (Maine and Bears) had was that you scouted for a defense that no longer existed. Both Sacramento and PAIN scrapped their defenses and had a completely new one in for this game. I don't think it had anything to do with special coding or curses. But I just posted in another thread that I'm proud that I was replaced by Maine and Gerr, you always field an awesome team.

Yeah, I've been trying to keep my Defense unpredictable, as I haven't come up with anything that will stop everything. It's burned me in some games and helped in others, so we'll have to wait and see how it goes against FT. Going to be really tough regardless.

Revcaking the C isn't blocking, that is strength. If he got around the C on the run block to get into the backfield, that would be a blocking fail.

I always go high strength and blocking but nothing over 65 for either. Some of these builds you guys are talking about has me baffled. I like them even and a lot of speed and agility.

The center with 50 blocking I reference DOES have 80 strength. Still gets rev-caked like 50% of run plays in a couple of ticks.

Pretty sure 80 strength/50 blocking doesn't work either.

To Revcake an OLineman, the DLineman has to win the break block roll....

A DL can hold the offensive guy all he wants.

Unless you mean the OL had to hold in order to have his block broken, but I don't really agree with that either.
