Week 9 06/19/2010 Alpha Games of the Week.

Game of the week was a hard one. So I had to go with the match up of the undefeated team.
Taylor Sands Whisker Fish 7-1 vs Manchester Titans 8-0. This is going to be the game of the week.

This is a tough one to select the winner. Plus I have my perfect record on choosing winners and I don't think one team has a big advantage over the other team. The Titans will try and run QB Chris "Needlenose" Fehn for big yards. The problem is the Fish have a great run stopping Defense. But the Fish also haven't seen a QB like this all season. This is not my pick but I will be pulling for the Fish to knock out the Titans and take down the last undefeated team in Alpha.

This was a very close second to our game of the week.
Flanigan's Ire 6-2 vs Rio de Janeiro Smut Peddlers 7-1. This is going to be a real good game. I don't think it will be as close as our game of the week though. I think we have to give the edge to Flanigan. They did beat the Fish by 4 points. But that was in the 4th quarter. Also in case folks missed it. The Peddlers are SERIOUS about this one!!

How big will that +8 in Morale bonus be. Could that stop Flanigan from there 4th quarter come back. I think it might. So another great game. And to close to call.

So for another week the Bombers are on cruise control. Just looking forward to next week.

So the only other game this week for our top teams is:
Lansing Lugnuts 6-2 vs Newark Knights 5-3. Sorry Knights, but you are currently 7th but I think your loosing streak goes to 3. Sorry.

Gonna be tough to stop the QB. They are a tough team man

Fish will win. 28-17.

Wow I just took a look at your next 5 games and your team have their work cut out for them because all 5 of those teams are contenders and your record could go anywhere from 14-0 to 8-5.

Yeah nice tough run, but I have confidence in the team's builds and gameplans to think that we can be successful through this stretch.

Definitely gonna have a target on our backs as well being the only team left unbeaten, so it's up to us to try that little bit harder to try and keep it that way.

You're damn right we are! That is a damn good team over there and we are gonna need every edge we can get, and even with this promo we are underdogs. We got the money so why not spend it to only make ourselves better. Would have done it for the Fish also if it was a home matchup.

After seeing how well you guys play against the fish as the fish seem to be a very good team as well, I can now see why you have so much confidence to do whatever you need to do to get the job done. Well played Sir...well played

They can be as confident as they want too now.
But they have only one week until they meet the Lugnuts. A team they have never beat!
Granted it was only two matchups last season. But that still makes us undefeated against the Titans and we are planning on keeping that streak a live.

This season the titans look to be a whole new animal than they were last season and they are determine not to be stop. Even with your team history of wins against them, I see you guys as the underdawg and have a tough uphill battle.

Week 10 Alpha Games of the Week. 06/21/2010

Sorry this week is going to be short. I have two very good teams to game plan for. I love good competition!

Game of the week was picked just because they have the same record
Rio de Janeiro Smut Peddlers (7-2) def. Lansing Lugnuts (7-2). This is going to be the game of the week.

This is a tough one to select the winner. Because I am the owner.
The Power Rankings have the Peddlers winning. But we all know those can be wrong. The Peddlers have lost their first 2 tough games this season. Will their slide continue. The Lugnuts sure hope so. It will be a good game.

Bombers are no LONGER on cruise control. We have been looking forward to this streak all season all!
Baltimore Bombers (8-1) vs. Taylor Sands Whisker Fish (7-2)
Can the Bombers dust off the cob webs, after having only one Alpha team that they even remotely needed to game plan for when they played French Toast Mafia. The Fish are coming off their biggest lost of the season. Can this good team bounce back? I have confidence they will. Just not sure it will be this week.

Well that leaves one other matchup:
Manchester Titans (9-0) vs. Flanigan's Ire (7-2) We all know what the Titans like to do. Run!!!
Can Ire stop QB Chris "Needlenose" Fehn?? If they do does that allow Davey Barnett to run free? I really thought this should be the game of the week. But the Titans showed last week they are not to be taken lightly. So I think if Flanigan stops Chris they blow this one out. If they don't the Titans blow this game out.

But like I said in my other post. If Flanigan doesn't break the Titans undefeated streak. It will just make it that much sweater when the Lugnuts do.

Week 11 Alpha Games of the Week. 06/23/2010

No undefeated teams left in Alpha.

Sorry guys, I don't have time this week. The Lansing Lugnuts vs Manchester Titans is going to take up all my time on GLB.

Some other good games.
Flanigan's Ire vs Baltimore Bombers the Series is tied (1-1). Who will come out on top this time?

The Fish are on cruise control now until the end of the season. That scares me that they will have that much time to prepare for the playoffs.

Rio de Janeiro Smut Peddlers have 2 easy games and then two tough games. Will they come out top after those games?
