Official Pool - easy choice

Gold League Champion - This is easily the most important title in PeeWee. This is tougher to win than any tourney, so I think it should be included. Oh well to the silver teams, to be considered the best, you need to make it to Gold & win.

Air Attack - I debated this awhile. One one hand it's sort of a gimmick tourney b/c it's just passing and not real AI's. But I also think it would be good b/c just like the triple crown in baseball you need power & average; our equivalent would have passing & rushing. BUT, a team could conceivably win all 3 of these and not have a run game, so this doesn't really work for a balance tourney w/o a rushing tourney. Plus instead of pass/rush our balance would really be more offense/defense. So with all that said, I don't think this should be included any more than a special teams tourney or an all rush tourney.

Halo's - Including a non-boost tourney is just stupid b/c a team (I don't want to use a definitive like never, but it's very close) has very little chance of winning the gold title and a non-boosting tourney.

FTW - this is a very tough tourney, but I don't think winning this has nearly the weight of the official pool or a gold title.

So I can really only come up with two.

But, to think about it, the Triple Crown is just all stats and has nothing to do with winning. So in all reality, the triple crown should be more like having the #1 offense, defense & special teams in PW Gold.

#1 offense and #1 defense won't work out well, coz it depends on outside factors and can be exploited

How about the 2 main ones

Cup and FTW
In combination with any other tourney should be well suited for a crown.

Even to play 3 tourneys and win them all is a major chore.

Or Without Silver
Gold League Champ (lol I would even consider East or West Conference Champ with winning the 2 below gets all the marbles)
Cup
FTW

I think a triple crown should consist of a league win and any two tourney wins. I know it would be possible for more than one team to win and silver teams have easier leagues, but if you can win three titles in a season, that is pretty good.

i like that jkid2, we could all agree on what are acceptable tournaments, before each season or just agree on any tourney that has a set number of teams entering is a triple crown event.

I think you have to not include certain ones though, like the silver and copper tournies, and gold vs silver, silver vs. copper though.

also i read up on triple crowns, and well, i know this will get all laughs from this crowd, but the triple crown of surfing is three events picked in advance. The triple crown is supposed to showcase talent in a variety of conditions. This is the same in horse racing. this is why no horse wins anymore because they don't train horses to be good at varying distances. even the horses have become too specialized. Thats why i think the Air Attack should be included. Its the closest thing we have to forcing a team out of their normal playbook. Baseball is sort of a wildcard with the triple crown because it is all stat based.

I'm planning on winning the Copper, Silver, and Gold Trophies this season with the DI. I just need my disguise league SA to work to get into the other two cups. Most Copper and Silver teams ignore vision for too long, so it might work if I add enough points.

7 of my "Co-workers" actually my employees, but lets not be technical... actually live in this "commune" which is located, actually in the process of being physically linked to my business "Headquarters" (Office building that is an absolute mess and I almost never go in there, that is why you pay employees isn't it)

All of these 7 people have like their own little housing area in the commune, so we didn't always see that much of each other (I forced them all to sign up for GLB some time ago, only a few of them remain) so now we decided to have 2-3 "Meetings" a day in the central area (Looks like a gaming headquarters up in here with all the technology, darn nerds living together) which, when you invite permastoned to a meeting.... it tends to become a smoking session...

So it seems lately we've all just been high pretty much the whole day... and even with the bad economy the quarter is looking great, who would of thought that using marijuana was the solution to the economic crisis of S13 (little inside joke, my old business HQ got police raided because they thought it was a drug lab, which turns out, a few pounds of marijuana may or may not have been located in a little compartment under the floor, lets just say thank god for lawyers, and a retarded judicial system. But apparently drug raids aren't the best for business.)

So basically what I'm explaining is that I am almost always high, and am almost always doing nothing, and considering I live with 7 people, including my future wife (Don't know if she knows that yet ;D ) I have almost no reason to really leave, so I sit here, play some GLB, troubleshoot with my newer employees, and smoke with my homies...

Wow, I realize ABSOLUTELY nobody cares about that, but it is a funny story so I thought I'd share.... I'd love to hear some of your guys life explanations for being able to donate so much time to GLB.

I'm pretty sure most people on here use work/school as GLB playgrounds and there has got to be some good stories out there from it.

Yeah, I should have said "if it came from the West"

The more I think about it, I don't really see a triple crown.

IMO, there's basically just a double crown: Gold championship & Official Pool champion.
