I am a bit more nervous about the Blackshirts than I was against the Gangsters.

i would have picked the thunders in a close one...while the starting lineup of the thunders outmatched the gangsters, they have gameplanned well and their backups are consistent with the gameplan since the same owner owns all of them...same reason the romantics keep playing so well...although they drew the thunder first and i think if they played now it would be a closer game

GG to the Cheetahs, I was worried about this one but my defense is pretty solid and came through.

Check out this play, it might have been the difference in the game.

Week 9 Matchups

Not a lot going on in the league this week. Quite a few tuneups for the top teams, and some lackluster mid seeded games.

First game of the week has the Horns and Tormentors clashing heads. The Horns need a solid showing to get revved up for the big matchup at home against the Thunder next week. Horns don't disappoint.

Next up, Turin. The Thunder are absolutely reeling from the spanking the Blackshirts put on them last week and are out for blood. With a big matchup at Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium looming, the Thunder have got to get back on track. Turin stomps the ole mudhole in this one. Get ready for the clash in Longhorn land.

Hamburg is still looking for respect in this league, and unfortunately they wont get it even with a dismantling of the Mavs. The mavs dont plan on winning a game this season, so the Gangsters hold true.

Venice has been riding the love boat to a 7 game win streak. With some tough games looming, they can't overlook a decent Assasins team. Romantics still love their chances and pull out a closer than expected victory.

Berlin has been putting up some news worthy victories of late, and draws the ass pirates this week. Newyark adds to his league leading sack total and the News crew coast.

Cheetahs and Rebels butt heads in what should be a cakewalk for the cats. Too much speed and depth ruin the Rebels chance at the upset bid. Don't take the underdog in this one, Cheetahs win.

***Upset Pick of the Week***
Newark and Yorktown stink it up in what is sure to be a mindless numbing of the skull. Yorktown has the advantage, but Newark has the heart. Newark get thier first win on the season.

***Game of the Week***
Battle of the Big 12 has the Blackshirts taking on the Sooners. With a HUGE win last week at Turin, one has to wonder if this game could be a trap game for Nebraska. Don't even think about it. OU Sucks. Shirts are the pick.

Last week :
7-0 (forgot to post the Assassins pick)

Season :
22-9

Jason, Jason

When are you going to learn to believe in the power of love?

while i agree it was a good game plan, there are no moral victories...losing by 50 or losing by 1, you dont get anymore of a win regardless of how close it was...
