Both of these statements are true.

In the past I used to get excited to play the SeaWolves, Kings, Spidermonkees, Lions and so on... Then you popped up and it took me to a whole new level. lol Win or lose it was one thing I was looking forward to coming back to the APL for.

Now we have to get our asses back up there to make it count.

Steve obviously knows how to keep me happy. He just has to mention my old team once every week or two here in the APL forum...although, with my RB and WR going to WWR, I might need a little more this next season to keep me happy...like mentioning the good old days at least twice a week and throw in that we were your greatest rivals short of D9

APL is a lot different since decline began claiming teams left and right...

i almost signed my SS (http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=924842&playoffs=0) with the wolves back in season 12. was shocked how many good pro teams were interested in a level 55ish player back then.

He owned the team and I ran both sides of the ball until around Season 10-11.

jdawg and Steve are probably the two best recruiters I've ever known...I suck at it. Give me replays, AIs, and dots to build but don't make me try to recruit.

Mike Brown should have been gone the season he got "Coach of the Year"... I've never been a fan of his and I honestly think he's worthless. He had the worst subbing/rotations I've ever seen. The plan should have been simple... Run the fast break (put Shaq on the bench till we play half court). Make the 33+ year old Celtics run with one of the best fast break teams in the league and tire them out. GIVE Rondo the lane to the basket and put him on his ass (he can't shoot free throws). You have 4 guys pushing 7 foot (Z, Andy, Hickson & Shaq), thats 20 good fouls. When Garnet goes out of the game, bring in Jamison, Jamison can not guard Garnett. Use Moon more... He can guard Ray Allen.

That series was a mess and the Celtics deserved that win. Doc Rivers knows what's up... if only a guy like him were coaching Cleveland. I hope they beat Orlando, Vince Carter isn't in the Championship game. lol

I don't know that you put it all on Mike Brown in that series. Celtics are just flat out better than the Cav's right down the line:

Center - Probably a wash
Power Forward - Garnett over anyone on the Cav's
Small Forward - LeBron
SG - Allen over anyone on the Cav's
PG - Rondo over anyone on the Cav's
Bench - What I thought might hurt the Celts ended up opposite with the Celts outplaying them

As far as being old, the Celts killed the Cav's on the first break with Rondo, Ray Allen and Tony Allen running all over them. I think the whole age thing is overrated anyway, I mean Pierce and Allen can run all day long, so it is really just Garnett and Wallace. LeBron didn't quit and the elbow thing was just a joke! The Celts went old school and played smothering defense on them, something they had no answer for. How about the rumor of Delonte West banging LeBrons mom?????
