Don't you Elephant guys have your own rankings

Looking like another strong season of competition over in your conference. Wish Lion could say otherwise with all these teams dropping like flies.

Very true from the looks of it. Platypi & MMM look good too (not just saying that cause they kicked our ass in first week either).

Just wow....the sim never ceases to amaze me. Fulham gets beat by the NDS and we beat those guys. Then Fulham turns around and destroys us. I just don't get it. Good game Fulham. Keep up with whatever you are doing because it worked.

Nairobi could very well be undefeated right now, so don't get caught up in records and who beat who. We have some parity here and I for one think it's awesome. Especially since we've been a little more parityey than others so far.

WEEK 7 RANKINGS

The Fine Four
#1 Kenya Diggits (7-0) - Kenya breezes by Burundi to remain undefeated. If they make it past Nile next week they'll only have 2 teams remaining that could prevent them from going undefeated. Very impressive season so far out of our newest AAA addition. Not just in their dominating games but the way they handled Nairobi and made the comeback against Fulham. It's going to be a very interesting playoff race this season with no team standing out right now as a lock to win out through the first 3 rounds.

#2 Nile Crocodiles (6-1) - Nile has been cruising through games all season long with only NDS having been a challenge for them. The loss against Fulham was a bad one though. The offense never got off the ground and the defense couldn't stop Fulham. With Kenya up next they need to erase this game from their memories and go back to work.

#3 Fulham Flying Hellfish (5-2) - What a game by the Hellfish. It was an impressive feat the way they shut down pretty much everything Nile threw at them. This just goes to show that certain teams match up better than others and Fulham did an excellent job planning for this game. After losing their lead against Kenya that led to a loss they bounced back big time this week.

#4 West Yorkshire Bandits (6-1) - The Bandits take another easy win as they prepare to face off against Colonial. Pretty soft schedule until they face Fulham, Kenya & Nile in weeks 12-14. I can't move them up just yet though considering the way Fulham outplayed Nile.

The Muddled Middle
#5 Nairobi Death Squad (5-2) - Another easy blowout win. Almost time for that Bandits game so stay on your toes.

#6 Sterling Bulldawgs (5-2) - Blowout streak still will continue against the Bulls.

#7 Colonial Zoners (4-3) - As predicted 4 weeks ago, the Zoners have taken advantage of their schedule and made it over .500. Now comes 2 big tests back to back. First the Bandits will host Colonial and then the Zoners will play host to Sterling. If they want to prove their top 4 material this is where they need to take over and show the conference what they're really made of. Due to the Bulls closing up they get to move ahead of them.

#8 Zimbabwe Bulls (5-2) - The record doesn't show the disarray of a team that is in the midst of shutting down shop for the season. The Bulls will slowly creep down the rankings in the coming weeks.

Outsiders Looking In
#9 Burundi Bucsh Warriors (2-5) - Burundi has been slipping out of contention for weeks now but there is a bright light at the end of this tunnel. They should be able to pick up 5 easy wins the rest of the season and only 2 games remaining are definite losses IMO. So they could still squirm into the 8th seed if they can knock off Colonial later in the season.

#10 West Nile Mosquitoes (2-5) - Blowout win with another one coming next week.

Nowhere Close
#11 Lyon Flames (2-5) - Blowout loss.

#12 Longreach Wildcats (2-5) - Strong win over Algeria.

#13 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces (1-6) - Blowout loss.

#14 Algeria Dune Hoppers (1-6) - Lost to a CPU team.

#15 Hungry Hungry Hippos (0-7) - Blowout loss.

#16 Patagonia Punishers (0-7) - Blowout loss.

Week 8 Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK

Nile vs Kenya
Nile suffered their first defeat last week and have another tough test this week against the undefeated Diggits. The Crocs hadn't really been tested except against Nairobi in week 4. At the time I called that an upset win and felt Nile had turned that corner to fight it out for a top 4 spot. I think they are still that good and I see them playing Kenya closely. Kenya has squeaked by in 2 close games so they are either extremely lucky or that damn good when it comes to game planning. In the end game plans rule over slight level advantages and I see Kenya getting away with another close victory.

Alexandria vs Hungry
CPU battle that no one cares about.

West Yorkshire vs Colonial
The Zoners could be suffering from their chemistry hits and they have yet to show they can play a top team strongly. This is a big game for them if they want to keep their momentum going. The Bandits however are one of the top teams in the conference and have yet to lose a game inside Lion. Bandits should take this one easily.

West Nile vs Longreach
Bye week

Burundi vs Lyon
Bye week

Sterling vs Zimbabwe
Bye week

Algeria vs Fulham
Bye week

Patagonia vs Nairobi
Bye week

Thanks for doing these write-ups ecrana. At least it keeps the leadue some what interesting even though about half of the league is CPU/gutted teams.

Yeah I know. I was starting to think no one was left in Lion to read the updated rankings.

I read them and they are always appreciated. I think the lack of activity is due to the significant number of CPU and rebuilding teams.

The abundance of CPU & rebuilding teams has definitely made the rankings & predictions go a lot faster so there is a plus in that. It's also made it boring since it really feels like there's only 1, maybe 2, matchups each week that are worth writing anything for.
