Effective level means something, but like lolbars, there is a drawback:

Remember, these only count the top half of your teams' effective level. And who makes that up? The positions with the biggest ALGs. And who were those? P, K, C, G, DT to start the list. High effective levels there imply you know how to build your players well mathematically, but the fact is you can see HUGE differences in effective level there without having any real impact on the field whatsoever.

Boost a C from 70 to 73 and you get a marginal gain in ALGs and not much worthwhile to add SP to. But you just got like +40 effective build value because your strength and blocking are both at 20:1.

I think it just shows the age of the players more than anything. The more the team jumps up the younger and the less the older or something along those lines.

not quite. you gain more SPs boosting at 439 and 399 or 359.

I think BDC is done now, but we went up from this morning (just a little though).

That doesn't factor in our level 72 equipment though, right?
