And Alex, you were complaining about losing your DC to pro's, you have in my opinion one of the best DC's in the minors in ThisKingWontFall, he's a good agent, and a good DC, we GM together on another team.

Choco, just checked your team page for the first time and saw ya'll are affiliated with Stirling. Way back in seasons 6 and on, we were all in the same WE BBB league together when we first started. Stirling, WV, and my old team Starkvegas Vandersexxx, plus many more teams im sure you are familiar with as we moved up into the A leagues and beyond.

Stirling, WV, and my old team Starkvegas Vandersexxx, plus many more teams im sure you are familiar with as we moved up into the A leagues and beyond.

Stirling got shifted to EE. We went 20-0 in our 2nd season of AA, then 13-3 in AAA and got promoted to the pros last season. We went 6-10 and were just overmatched most of the time. I'm hoping for better this season, but the pros is a real grind.

yep its the same WV team. back then I was running Starkvegas, who got moved to SA where we made it up to AAA before our owner lost interest. WV got shifted to SEA and made it up to AAA as well before making the decision to start from scratch with a set group of agents. its nice not to have to recruit.

THat is exactly why the ELK dropped down and started from scratch too... recruiting was/is the worst part about this game.

Recruiting, for me, sucked for one of my players. The owner of the Ashville Antagonists comp lvl 22 #7 has a lovely tale to spin about some ill deeds done without his knowledge. Then blocks me from PMing him and blocks me from the forums for a post that was nothing really. No name calling, no swearing. He retorts with a profanity filled rant that made little sense and didn't address the points I raised at all. Team owner since season 7 yet his highest level player is a retired lvl 10. He has 3 level 1 players ... that's it. I guess he was only a team owner who never played the game. Yeah, that makes sense right ? The person who was supposedly responsible was described as a GM , but the reality is he was a co owner and oddly enough has a few low level players and a mid level retired player. Sound familiar? I sent that person a PM. If they had a supposed falling out you'd think they would rant about the other person. Instead there was silence and the blocking of PMs and fourms... from both persons. Again, odd right?
I just questioned the idea that an entire team could be cut, an entire team recruited and the entire forums wiped without his knowledge. Add to that his "take it or leave it" attitude about the whole thing. "I'm not giving EQ funds and I'll cut all of you at the end of the season so don't get comfy". Meanwhile the stadium is almost entirely built, the team had in excess of 75 million in assets ... It just rings of something not quite being right.
It's sad to see people who are so childish bascally take a season from a player calously.

Season 6 we were like 5th in a cap 14 league, won 1 playoff game and got promoted to an uncapped league. We got slaughtered Season 7. Dropped back down Season 8, did well in BBB, got promoted and got slaughtered in Season 9 in A. Season 10 was the first cloud season and I think we were uncapped minors by then. That was the beginning of our good run.
S10 13-3, 1-1 (Uncapped Minors)
S11 13-3, 1-3 (EE AA)
S12 16-0, 4-0 (Repeated EE AA)
S13 13-3, 1-1 (EE AAA)
Then S14, our first in the Pros...6-10. It was a hard fall and a tough promotion. Another season in AAA might've done us some good, probably would've gone like 15-1 or 16-0.
Recruiting in the Pros is a pain in the ass. Players have a shelf life of maybe 3 Pro seasons, so you have to turn over at minimum 1/3 of your roster every season, more if you recruited older players the prior season. We had a ton of guys play with us for 5+ seasons who just got too old to be effective. Hell, we still have 2 Season 1 players on the team as mentors.

yeah it just seems impossible to effectively recruit in this game all the time. There seems to be too many of us in competition for the same guys. And there doesn't seem to be enough effective people out there. Hell I've reached the point where I'm like blanket offering everyone and I still haven't got a bite in 10 days!
