I find it disturbing how ridiculous an advantage Alpha teams have, as far as scoring differential goes. Alpha has two punching bags that any decent team is guaranteed 100 points against.

Look at the passing touchdowns leaders. Chattanooga's QB now leads with 10, but 8 came against Warsaw. I'm not saying Chattanooga's a bad team, but perhaps when formulating power rankings, all wins that come against Warsaw and Volgograd could be disregarded as far as point differential goes.

I guess I would have to put a strength of schedule in there somewhere, but I was looking to keep this simple. I will see what I can do tonight after work when I update the Rankings.

Yah we have such an advantage that we will use it to win the championship again this season. Seriously please dont whine about us 'having it easy', for god's sake Zeta also has 2 teams that are 0-4. Only team I can see complaining about is Warsaw, and would agree to it if you want any matchs with them not counted.

yeah i also think it isnīt good for the power rankings.
and besides that if you think zeta is the stronger we will see in playoffs.
FYI last season winners = Maulers = alpha

I wasn't saying Zeta's stronger. Of course that's to be decided in the playoffs. But the average margin of defeat for the 0-4 Zeta teams is 29.25, compared to 95.25 for the 0-4 Alpha teams. That's not insignificant.

alright thatīs true. i think it s**** too, you can only really compare the teams @ the end of the season.

Another week to stake our claim? No doubt.

uhh isnt game 4 tomorrow? that would mean two days not a week....

Sorry, maybe I shouldn't use "football speak" around amatuers.

I meant week as in week of a simulated football season (Game 1 = Week 1, etc.). GLB is a FB sim yes? And a RPG? Then start role playing!!!

This is a pretty pointless post considering the Maulers aren't there anymore. I'm sure they appreciate Alpha still hanging from their nuts, though.

Take out scoring differential and put more emphasis on overall team ratings. The Lookouts still do well in that category!

Regardless of the "Statistic," having one Dominant team (which isn't even here anymore) does not make that the better conference.

When I line up the conferences from top to bottom (1st place team vs 1st, 2nd place vs 2nd, etc.), I think this season Zeta Conf. is clearly a bit tougher, starting with the 3 4-0 teams sitting up top, and ending with our 2 0-4 teams that would likely destroy Alpha's bottom two.

Call me a homer if you want, Alpha MAY have been top dog last season but Zeta is a cut above this go round.

I'd suggest making any point differential greater than 28 points worth the same. In other words, a 38-3 blowout against a good team is equal to a 112-0 shutout of a peewee league squad. It's simple and achieves the same thing.

how about we take the average level of a team or just a teams starting roster. And for a win against them you get a certain amount of points. yes, no? oh and for every 10 points they are off of 100 on their chemistry it is minus 1 point for the win.

i mean like this

1. Team #1- avg level 15- points for a win against = 15
2. Team #2- avg level 13- points for a win against = 13
3. Team #3- avg level 12.5 - points for a win against = 12.5
4. Team #4- avg level 10- points for a win against = 10
5. Team #5- avg level 5- points for a win against = 5
6. Team #6- avg level 5- points for a win against = 5
7. Team #7- avg level 3- points for a win against = 3

and this

1. Team #1- avg level 15- 15 points for a win against, but chemistry is only 20 so there are 80 points from 100. therefore you deduct 8 points from the win. making it only 7 points for the win.

in addition to that.

winning by
5 = .5 extra point
10 = 1 extra point
15 = 1.5 extra points
20 = 2 extra points
etc...

this way the teams will be ranked fairly where the win against a team will mean more if the team is better, so we wont have these bad teams serve as punching bags and mess up our rankings. Also you get more points for a bigger win.
