2 Road teams would be tough, I'm going with a complete blow up game for Favre where once again his last pass is an INT to end the game. On the flip side, Peyton and the Colts get exposed and the Jets continue this run to the Superbowl!

I picked the Colts and Vikes... had a feeling Vikes/Saints would be a toss-up, and doesn't it suck that the Super Bowl is not in a dome?

Colts vs Saints should make for a great matchup in this years Superbowl. I guess you could say the two best teams are in the Superbowl and there is really no debate. I give the edge to the Colts, and not because of Manning or their offense, but because of their defense which has played great all season. But, the Saints are not one dimensional like the Jets and Ravens so this one could be an epic battle where Manning makes the big mistake in crunch time! Favre, guy played his ass off yesterday and showed some great toughness, but when the game was on the line and he could have easily gained yards running the ball, he decided to throw caution to the wind and throw across the field! Just flat out stupid but really pales in comparison to the man crushing announcers stroking Favre at the end of the game....My favorite Favre quote was from the royal rump swab Jackson, "He is just not afraid to thrown an INT"...Maybe if he was, Green Bay and Minnesota would have both had their time in another superbowl!

Then again, he probably wouldn't have made half the plays that got them to the NFC championship game in the first place. I agree that throwing instead of running was stupid, but it happens.

I'm just tired of the gushing over this guy, he is not even Top 5 of all time but has brilliantly created this mystique about him in the media. He is a tough bastard and I loved watching him play yesterday, but when it counted most he failed to give his team a chance to win, which is what the great QB's are supposed to do. Good news, we will have all next season to see him back as well, there is now way he will retire at 497 TD's!

For the record, I like Favre, it is the announcers who are so afraid to say something critical of him that irritate the crap out of me...

I'm a sucker for Favre. I can't argue with anything RJ or anyone else says... but I get sucked right in.
To get the shit kicked out of you like he did, and still be able to stand up and fire a football knowing its going to happen again... He didn't even flinch.

I agree rj. Favre is a great QB. One of the greatest of all time (Probably in the 7-12 range). But he really fucked up yesterday, and all Berman and Jackson on NFL Primetime after the game could do was fawn over him. However, Minnesota blew that game with their inability to hold on to the football, period. It wasn't just Favre's untimely interception. Harvin's fumble was inexcusable. ffs, that was just a normal tackle, but he didn't have the ball controlled well at all. Berrian fighting for a yard an getting the ball knocked out at the 10. The dropped exchange. Minnesota was the better team last night by many measures, but you can't beat good teams with those kind of mistakes.

We know that announcers tend to be passive about criticizing players, but sometimes it's deserved.

I'd really love to know what the announcers think... What a stink that would cause! lol

Brett didn't lose the game....the 3 fumbles did. If even one of them don't happen he most likely isn't in position to make that absolutely bone headed throw. The way the D shut down the Saints in the 2nd half, the queens are either up 3 or 7 at that time.

I actually thought he played a good game, with only a couple passes he shouldn't have thrown. Even on the int at the end, it wasn't as bad as TA made it sound. The LB would have taken him down after 5 yds (not 15) and they would have been left with a long FG attempt. Stupid? Without a doubt, yes, but running wouldn't have given them a "chip shot" either.

3 fumbles no doubt hurt them, but someone also threw 2 INT's in the game. The whole point is that had he run he would have given them a chance at a long FG attempt, not a chip shot by any stretch but also in a dome and the most important fact, a chance to win the game! He did not do that...

Oh, hell, I agree. I was just impressed because I thought there was a VERY good chance of him producing one of his all time classic meltdown games and he didn't. In reality, he put out a good performance for him. If you're going to have him as your QB, you expect 1-2 bone head passes a game that won't work...You have to because you cheer for the 4-5 bone head passes he makes each game that his superior skills allow him to complete.

PS I couldn't agree more with posters saying how sick they are of hearing announcers gush all over him.
