I suppose. I play codmw2 with kids from my grade/HS and that's like 95% of the reason I play it so much. Prestiging and what not is worthless. You get a lousy extra class and new "title/emblem" that I couldn't give a rats ass about.

The FPS genre has gotten very stale over the years. That's why as a fan of shooters I'm looking towards third person shooters like rfg. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has me fapping and I can't wait until it comes out. Bayonetta's (While third person, it's more of an action game though) demo was really cool and Wet was fun too.

As a whole I've pretty much given up on first person shooters and have moved towards third person shooters. That seems to be where at least some originally is going to come in the following years.

A few trailers for the game.

Oh and ME was incredible as a third person shooter/rpg. Definitely can't wait for ME 2.

I used to feel that way, but the problem stems from the fact far too many third person shooters place their characters in the middle of the screen. RFG has the characters a little more to the left and it makes a huge difference from those that put their characters in the middle.

If every third person shooter did that, then I don't think I'd play a true FPS ever again. TPS/FPS hybrids also work very well, just look at ME imo. It's all in character and cursor placement on the screen.

well i played resident evil 5 last weekend. and ur player is off to the side a bit and its like an "over the shoulder" kind of view. hunk of shit, i jsut could not shoot straight. u barely get any ammo as it is then i wasted it all bo trying to use the stupid fucking laser...

i guess it depends all on preference.

I have a friend whose obsessed with the game, he's currently just outside the top 100 in rank, in halo he was 52nd until COD6 came out (codmw2) I've only ever lost once with him on my team, only ever beaten him once to lol....

Don't base over the shoulder on RE 5. I didn't really care for it either tbh... Try Red Faction Guerrilla.

Trust me, I can't think of a person whom I've recommended it to who has hated it.
