is it wrong? you guys don't deserve to be there...

say what you want about the merger, but DD proved they belonged in the WL...it's not like we were like "oh fuck we didn't make the WL let's merge with another team so we could get there"

Hey Dakar has proved it belongs in the WPL too just like DD. do you honestly think that Dakar wouldn't be back in WL again next season anyway?

That's not the point...everyone knew DD was gonna be WL eligible after a year in APL, but we still served our time...Dakar should do the same.

Why are you arguing this point when the teams that had the chance to go there turned it down. Argue about the system that even allows people to make that choice. It shouldn't even be allowed. This is a league format you get promoted or your team breaks up that should be the way it goes.

As for Dakar not getting promoted because they didn't make the playoffs. Legitimate point but don't try to say it's not sour grapes when DD had the same thing happen to them in S11 going 9-7. DD commented on how they deserved to stay and lost close games. You may not hate Dakar but you definitely didn't like the fact you got moved down so now you want to see the same thing happen again because DD had it happen to them. That's your motivation just own up to it instead of dancing around it.

If there's one thing that APL should learn from all the WL mouths is that at least they have some form of pride from what league they came from and wanting to prove something for that league. No one has to agree with APL teams declining promotion. But the one thing we all know is that in a game where there are a bunch of huge egos APL just took the biggest step back of any of the Pro leagues. It's not going to change until a team from there does exceptional either.

Thats fine if you don't care about that kind of stuff. But do those a favor who do. Gut your team and go down to uncapped Minors or AA so you can feel good about beating on chump teams and not have to worry about recruiting and playing hard teams. You'll still get your trophies and be able to go undefeated and feel all warm and fuzzy doing it.

I don't owe any of you new guys "favors"... The Pirates, Warrior Kings, Angola Spider Monkeys, Sea Wolves etc... already did a lot of your teams favors. If they were still here (and I wish they were cause I personally miss them) the APL wouldn't be loaded with sub par team. Some of these teams wouldn't even have been promoted up to the APL if it wasn't for others folding. Now your complaining about the competition and think the APL should be weaker to make them a BIGGER joke and give your complaining teams another advantage... craziness...

But you are right, we did not make the playoffs the same as DD but IMO and most people who kept up with the first season of WL would agree DD is a team that deserved to be there and should have been. We both ended up with the "best team to get relegated" tag in each season, woohoo.

But we are more than willing to step right back in and go at it again. We proved we can hang with the top teams and have no desire to play a bunch of AAA teams. The only positive we saw coming back here is we do have teams who we came up with, more now of course, that we can hack it up with. And also since its holidays time, an easy game plan season didnt sound all terribad + we recruited for APL. I have went into hyper mode since seeing we are still WL and gotten lucky.

So, in the case we had here, shouldn't the most deserving team be the team most willing to go?

We also stepped up and said we would take our lumps and play in APL...we didn't try and pull some back room deals to stay in WL...we all knew we didn't get the job done and it was on us. We came down and told everyone that we were gonna run through the league and win gold...and that's what we did.
I don't remember us saying we should have stayed, I remember us saying that it was fucked up that a 9-7 team can get demoted (which is more just commentary on how tough the WL is)...maybe we did, by all means pull up some old threads and prove me wrong.

Are you saying we did? Because I had no clue this was going to happen. I hit refresh at least 10 times when I logged on the first time and then noticed all my other teams had moved and was in shock. We had nothing to do with it, this was all Bort.

I think you misunderstand the word. It's an RNG and your clinging to that word is just obnoxious. No one deserves anything. We're all just here hoping the right numbers come up for us at the right times. They didn't for us last season, and they didn't for Doinitin the season before. It is what it is though. We didn't succeed, but that doesn't mean someone doesn't deserve to be there. ffs, does Belfast "deserve" to be there? They couldn't even beat a 3-13 team in Zeta. If Dakar was in Alpha, we would have all of a sudden "deserved" to still be a WL team? My point is that Dakar IS without a doubt one of the top 32 teams in the game right now imo. That means we deserve to be there, whether you like it or not.
